PRO Real Time EMG Data Acquisition

Motion Lab Systems supports stand-alone, real-time data acquisition via the MA-720 system. The MA-720 can record up to 32 channels of analog data with a total throughput of 200kHz. The MA-720 offers many useful features such as data over sampling, channel labeling, time and date stamping and programmable gain that make it a perfect solution for all your EMG data collection needs.
The WINDAQPRO software offers the following features:
Live recording of up to 32 channels of EMG data directly to disk (record up to 240 Channels with additional hardware).
True Multitasking Operation allowing the WINDAQPRO software to run on the same PC as many other applications.
Display up to 32 EMG channels simultaneously.
Exclusive Heads-up Display - From 1 to 32 channels. Smooth scrolling or triggered sweep with level, slope and source selections.
Zero plot delay for true real time performance during waveform recording to disk.
Display speed can be independent of sample rate.
Automatic Time and Date Stamping - Correlates waveform data with time and date of acquisition with 1 second resolution.
Gap-free Disk Streaming - Creates data files limited in length only by the size of your disk.
Real Time Scaling - Scales each waveform display channel in its own unit of measure.

MA-720-EN Network Data Acquisition

Motion Lab Systems can integrate and supply a network analog data acquisition system using TCPIP that is easy to install and use with any modern PC. Unlike traditional ADC card installations which require that the ADC card is either inside or attached to the computer, a network data acquisition solution can be controlled remotely.
When used with the WindaqPro software, the MA-720-EN can record up to 32 channels of analog data with a total throughput of 50kHz. This permits a maximum sample rate of 3, 125 samplessec for 16 EMG channels for a bandwidth of up to 1.5kHz per channel.

Knee Alignment Device

Sold as a pair of devices, the Knee Alignment Device (KAD) is used during static trials to independently define the alignment of the knee flexionextension axis of the subjects knee prior to a series of walking trials. The use of the KAD based knee model enables the subject marker set to eliminate the medial knee markers which are prone to being knocked off during testing when the subject knees cross or pass closely during swing. This is primarily a problem during gait trials.
The KAD is a spring-loaded metal jig that fits gently over the subjects knee while a static calibration data collection is performed. The design of the KAD is such that the absolute distance between all three of the markers on the device is identical (5.66 inches). The design of the Motion Lab Systems KAD enables the software to establish a virtual knee marker at the central joint of the Knee Alignment Device and this, combined with the KAD wand marker, enables the knee flexion axis to be measured.

Mechanical Testing Device

Available for passive and active marker systems, this is an inexpensive and vital tool for any lab that performs 3D and force measurements.
The MDT-2 (Mechanical Testing Device) is a precision-machined tool that can be assembled in less than a minute to create a force plate test object suitable for a number of 3D biomechanics laboratory tests. It allows the user to apply a pure force vector to a force plate within the Motion Capture environment and determine the alignment of the force plate within the calibrated 3D measurement space.
The MTD-2 is comprised of the following items supplied in a plastic storage case:
Five wands
Five retro reflective markers (for passive systems).
Five mounting disks (for active marker systems).
Calibration testing rod with two (38-16 NC) threaded conical tips.
Test plate with dual bearing points.
Handle with recessed bearing surface
Laboratory calibration tests are conducted in order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of kinematic and kinetic data which are essential to the appropriate application of movement analysis data and research purposes. Thorough laboratory calibration includes the accurate determination of the positions of the force platform(s) and cameras in the laboratory coordinate system, as well as correct setting of force platform parameters such as analog scale factors and origin offsets.
Any errors in the parameter settings or calibration measurements can lead to incorrect values of kinematic andor kinetic variables calculated during a movement analysis.
The calibration test incorporates data derived from the force platform and data generated from the camera measurement system. The degree of spatial and temporal agreement between these two sets of data provides an assessment of the joint working status of the kinetic and kinematic systems.
