Nyltite Rolled Collars fit under the heads of screws nuts, rivets or the like. Their design provides a lock-and-seal mechanism (see below) that makes them far superior to any conventional washer. Their design enables them to act in concert with screws and bolts as sealing and locking fasteners, and depending on the application, vibration insulators. They cause the screw to lock in place and at the same time create a seal that is incredibly resistant to harsh temperature and chemical environments. The collar is a section of extruded tubular nylon rolled backward upon itself as shown in the illustration. The benefit of this design is a controlled flow during the tightening process providing unique characteristics that washers typically do not. These characteristics include Lock-and-Seal, electrical insulation, mechanical isolation, thermal isolation and vibration resistance.

The Nyltite Headed Sleeve fits on a screw, bolt , rivet or simply in a hole without a screw. When used with a screw or rivet, the Headed Sleeve and screw (or rivet) work together under pressure to form an ideal fastener and seal. When used as a hole liner without pressure, it functions as an electrical insulator, mechanical isolator, hole liner, grommet, bearing or bushing.

Nyltite Unheaded Sleeves are lengths of tough, thin-wall, nylon tubing cut to the length required for your specific application. Nyltite Unheaded Sleeves offer all the advantages of other Nyltite products and are most commonly used as spacers, grommets, bushings, bearings and as insulators for screws and solderless connections. Furthermore, thin-wall nylon sleeves offer a distinct space advantage. Nyltite Unheaded Sleeves can be used as spacers when mounting pc boards. Other applications include sleeves for housing and insulating electronic components.

The Nyltite Snap Bushing is a hole- liner that is designed to stay in place with no pressure. It functions as an electrical insulator, mechanical isolator, grommet, bearing or bushing. The Nyltite Snap Bushing is a variation of the Nyltite Headed Sleeve except it has a bulge at the opposing side of the metal. Once inserted into the hole the head and the bulge keep the bushing in its intended position. The distance of the bulge from the head depends upon the thickness of the metal and can be specified by the customer..

Nyltite Double Wall Bushings can be used as a sleeve bushing or feed through protector or liner, as its’ double wall affords a unique advantage of increased abrasion resistance. When used as an isolator or insulator, the double wall allows more forgiveness when attaching to a mating part as clearances may be larger, the nylon will compress to fill voids.
