Vibration Absorbers - Stainless Steel

Packless vibration absorbers are designed for installation in the suction and discharge lines of air conditioning and refrigeration system to dampen the transmission of compressor-induced vibration through system piping.

Packless vibration absorbers are constructed of deep pitch corrugated tubing in stainless steel for increased flexibility and vibration absorption, covered with high tensile stainless steel wire braid for superior strength. The vibration absorbers have female copper end connections for making sweat connections to refrigerant piping.

Each absorber is pressure tested then carefully vacuum tested using a highly sensitive helium mass spectrometer leak detection device. Units are cleaned, dehydrated and sealed in plastic film after final inspection to maintain cleanliness and dryness prior to installation. These are available either in bulk or individually boxed.

Packless Vibration Absorbers are compatible with all HFC, HCFC and CFC refrigerants. The stainless steel models, VAFS-3 through VAFS-11, are electrically welded with no braze joints to achieve the higher working pressures set by todays industry standards.

Packless vibration absorbers are recognized under the component programs of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., c-UL-US, File #SA2575.

Ice Machine Coils

ackless ice machine coils utilize a coaxial tube-in-tube design. Water flows through the inner tube while refrigerant flows in the annulus between the inner and outer tubes.

The key to the high performance of Packless ice machine coils lies in the convoluted multi-lead inner tube manufactured in a patented process. The resulting convoluted tube has increased heat transfer surface area per unit length, yet still permits full flow of both water and refrigerant around its entire periphery for improved performance. Turbulence imparted by the convolutions to both the water and refrigerant flows further enhances the thermal performance, while inhibiting the accumulation of deposits on the surfaces. The net result is a highly effective, compact heat exchanger with superior anti-fouling characteristics.

Optimum heat transfer with Packless ice machine coils is achieved with a counterflow arrangement of water and refrigerant during condensing.

Refrigerant Subcoolers

Mechanical subcooling involves cooling the liquid refrigerant of a low temperature system by evaporating the refrigerant of a high temperature system.

Since high temperature systems are more efficient than low temperature ones, mechanical subcooling provides a net gain in overall efficiency.

Packless chillers function well as subcoolers of either R-12. R-22 or R-502, and yield a low pressure drop for the subcooled liquid.

Seven chiller models are available to offer a wide range of subcooler capacities.

Condenser Coils

Packless water-source condenser coils operate very effectively as either refrigerant condensers or refrigerant evaporators when transferring heat with water. This makes them an ideal choice for both water-source heat pumps and water-cooled condenser applications.

The coils utilize a coaxial "tube-in-tube" design. Water flows through the inner tube while refrigerant flows in the annulus between the inner and outer tubes.
