Heat Sink Fabrication

Over the years and decades, PCR Technologies, Inc. has become one of the most trusted names in the field of heatsink fabrication. Located in Pine Brook, NJ, we manufacture thermal plates, thermal planes, heat dissipaters, heat plates, and metal core heat sinks, in addition to modified extrusions and custom-bonded fins. By means of high speed CNC machining and multi-spindle drilling and routing, we are fully adept at working with aluminum, copper, brass, core filling or extrusion applications.

Our fabrication proess utilizes a high-speed CNC 3- and 4-axis, multi-spindle machining centers. The precision machining process eliminate the burrs raised by the stamping process to signigicantly improve the bonding surface. Our advanced capabilities can maintain tolerances of +- .0002" with a repeatability accuracy of +- .0001" on parts up to 30" long and up to 20" wide.

In addition to our considerable machining abilities, we offer finishing services including anodizehard-coat MIL-A-8625 TY-1, TY-2, TY-3 surfaces, chemical conversion coating in accordance with MIL-DTL-5541 and gold plating in accordance with MIL-G-45204, as well as provide nickel-plating, both general purpose and electroless. We also offer silver plating, tin plating, and Castall (Cast-Coat) insulating compounds. See the table below for a full listing of all of our finishes.

Continuously improving upon our qualitative standards, we are ISO 9001:2008-certified, ITAR- registered, and provide RoHS-compliant components in prototype or production runs, and lead times of 3 to 6 weeks. One of our strongest capabilities at PCR Technologies, Inc. is our work with adhesive and insulator preforms. Through drilling, routing, and die cutting, we produce adhesive preforms for various industries. Using CNC - controlled, high-speed, multi-spindle equipment, we are capable of working masterfully with such preform materials as pyralux, ablefilm, cybond, kapton, no flow pre-pegs, thermabond, and nitro phenolic. The range of substrates we work with is equally comprehensive: flexible composites, electronic film adhesives, epoxy-based films, adhesive transfer tapes, thermally conductive insulators, thermal interface materials, and rubber gasket materials, as well as epoxies and rubber gasket materials.

The results of this high-tech proficiency and accumulated knowledge are adhesive pre-forms that feature thicknesses of .002", lengths up to 48", widths of up to 24", and minimum radiuses of .015".

PCR Technologies, Inc. offers heatsink to circuit board bonding (PCBPWB bonding) utilizing conductive adhesives, sweat solder bonding (vapor phase) and ESD for populated SMT assemblies. By means of bonding and laminating, and through command of working with pyralux, ablefilm, thermabond, cybond, nitro phenolic, kapton, and wet lay-up epoxies, we are able to provide cutting-edge solutions for numerous industrial applications. Plastic G10/FR4 Machining

PCR Technologies, Inc. provides precision CNC machining of plastics and metals, for a wide range of applications and industries. We possess the capabilities to work with virtually any type of thermoplastic, offering CNC machining, drilling, and routing, produced on high speed multi-spindle CNC machine centers.
