PVC TYPE II
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a commonly used thermoplastic offering excellent impact, corrosion, and chemical resistance. PVC is an economical and easily machinable material, making it a great choice for a wide range of applications—from fabricated piping components and cable insulation to electrical cabinets and chemical processing.
PVC Type II shares many of the same properties as PVC Type I, with an increased ability to withstand shock or impact, yet a lower chemical resistance relative to PVC Type I. Top applications for PVC Type II include consoles, acid baths, junction boxes, and many other applications where chemical, corrosion, and impact resistance are necessary. In addition, PVC Type II is a lightweight, adaptable material and works very well in thermoformed and vacuum formed products.
PVC Type II is easy to fabricate and is available in sheets of various sizes and thicknesses.
