PITTMAN® brush DC servo motors are available in a variety of sizes and are highly customizable. A wide range of options includes different encoder resolutions, gears with reductions ranging from 4:1 to over 4000:1, and brakes. To optimize performance in unique applications, Pittman DC motors are available with various brush materials, permanent magnet materials, EMIRFI suppression networks, bearing systems, and output shaft devices.

The PITTMAN® high performance slotless dc motor line is perfect for applications requiring a miniature motor capable of very high speeds. The motors have no teeth to attract the magnets, cogging is eliminated, and the motor produces smooth, quiet operation. These motors are perfect for applications such as medical tools, dental tools, laboratory equipment, and any other motion application requiring high speed in a compact package.

PITTMAN® linear motors are frameless, permanent magnet brushless servomotors available in Iron Core, Ironless (slotless) and Voice Coil configurations. Motors are coupled directly to the load without the use of mechanical systems such as ball screws, precision gearboxes, belts or rack & pinion drives. Backlash and mechanical compliance is eliminated thus allowing significant improvement in stiffness, positional accuracy, dynamic response and overall throughput while reducing system complexity. Pittman Iron Core designs provide the highest force density while Ironless designs have lower mass and zero cogging. Custom designs and part sets are available for OEM applications.
