A customer in appliance manufacturing desired to cut production costs on a current product line. Premier Products of Racine took on the challenge of designing a new part that would exceed expectations and lower costs for the client. The redesigned grille vane was an excellent match for our specially developed roll forming process due to its simple cross section and high volume. 201 stainless steel was pre-notched and roll formed on our custom-built machinery equipped with in-house designed dies, then cut to the required length. Our process ensures that the cosmetic material is not damaged during manufacturing. Secondary processes employed include forming and packaging for shipment. All processes took place at our state-of-the-art facility. Tight tolerance of ±0.005" was held throughout construction, and a maximum allowance of two 0.020" or smaller cosmetic defects was maintained along the part's length. The finished dimensions were 30" - 73" long x 0.030" thick, featuring a highly cosmetic #4 brush finish.

remier Products of Racine was commissioned to fabricate a custom stainless steel trim for a customer in the appliance industry. Originally a roll forming request, after our experts analyzed the requirements for the part we discovered it would be more cost effective and efficient for it to be produced using progressive stamping. This door trim was constructed from stainless steel, featuring a highly cosmetic bright annealed finish. Our custom built machines were employed for the progressive stamping process, using an in-house designed die that rendered secondary work unnecessary. Our machine features a robotic transfer system capable of handling long, narrow strip and thin gage material without damage.

We were asked by a customer to manufacture several thousand tube burners for installation in barbeque. Our experience told us that by using a lock-seam tube instead of a welded tube we would produce the part more quickly, with reduced energy costs, and save our customer money. The lock-seam tube is a cooking-type elongated bar burner with numerous gas flow apertures, a top surface defined by a stiffening ridge, and a pair of laterally extending flanges. We began by working closely with the customer during the design phase so we would be sure to meet their specifications. We actually designed the proprietary processes and engineered the tooling and custom machines needed to complete this project. The burner is comprised of aluminized cold rolled steel and 304 stainless steel. We pre-notched the sheet, which enabled us to cut several secondary operations out of the overall fabrication process, resulting in a much lower cost per part. The sheet metal was then roll-formed, pierced, and bent into the required configuration prior to assembly. Following custom part masking, we used our proprietary selective powder coating to finish the tube burner. 20” long and 0.036” thick, these tube burners were fabricated to tolerances of ±0.005”. We now manufacture 100, 000 of them a year for our barbecue industry customer.

Premier Products of Racine was contracted to design and fabricate a stainless steel structural beam to be used on tanker trucks. The simple cross section and long length required for this part made it a perfect candidate for our proprietary roll forming process. We specially designed the necessary tooling to construct this beam. Using our largest roll forming line (3" mill), high strength 201 LN stainless steel was formed into a 4' - 25' long x 0.135" thick ring channel. A tight tolerance of ±0.005" was maintained throughout construction. End trimming was performed where required to reach the intended shape.
