Hardman® Structural Adhesives Hardman brand one- and two-component structural adhesives are used in a wide variety of markets and applications such as aerospace, automotive, brush and roller, filters, grinding wheels, hammers and axes, marine, repair and maintenance, and sporting goods. Hardman’s EPOWELD®, EPOSET®, MONOPOXY® epoxies, KALEX® urethanes, and DOUBLEBUBBLE® single-use structural adhesives offer superior bonding properties such as exceptional shear and peel strength, chemical resistance, high and low temperature resistance, vibration, shock, torque and impact resistance, thermal conductivity, flame retardancy, and other qualities not found in conventional adhesive materials…and they improve the performance and durability of the end product. In choosing an adhesive for a specific application, customers can select formulated systems from our extensive line of existing products. Where applications needs are specialized, we will work with you and develop a custom formula to meet your application.

Royal® Aerospace Sealants Royal® brand aerospace manganese cure polysulfide sealants offer outstanding resistance to aviation and jet fuels, chemicals, petroleum products and extreme temperature environments for fuel tank and fuselage sealing applications. The product line also includes polysulfide-based electrical potting compounds and access door sealants. These sealants are fully qualified under a variety of AMS and MIL specifications including AMS 8802, AMS 3276, AMS 3281, AMS 3284, Mil PRF 81733 and Mil PRF 8516 and many other OEM specifications including Cessna, Bombardier, Piper and others. Royal is fully accredited to AS 9100, ISO9001:2000 and NADCAP quality system standards. Royal® also manufactures urethane and polycloroprene rubber adhesives for demanding elastomeric structures used in aircraft applications such as escape slides, life preservers and life rafts that are used in commercial and regional aircraft manufactured by Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer and others. The military uses these type adhesives for portable elastomeric fuel storage tanks and for high speed rubber boats used by the coast guard and military, these adhesives are fully qualified to MMM-A-139, MIL-A-5540B, MMM-A-1617 and MMM-A-121B and many other OEM specifications.

Royal's "Aerospace & Marine Inflatable Adhesives & Coatings Division" has an extensive line of products used in aerospace, marine and military applications. Our adhesives are used to fabricate various inflatables, such as whitewater rafts, rigid inflatable boats, evacuation slides, life rafts, life vests, emergency shelters, collapsible fuel and water tanks, and other specialty items as well. Royal supplies adhesives to bond Polyurethane, PVC, CSM (Hypalon™), Polychloroprene, Nitrile and other types of coated fabrics. We also have primers (tie coat) used to manufacture Polyurethane or PVC coated fabrics. These primers greatly enhance the adhesion of the subsequent top coat to the base cloth. Royal has extensive experience with fire retardant adhesives and coatings such as are used in various aerospace applications. These include radiant reflective aluminized coatings or light weight filmscrim laminating adhesives, as are used in aircraft insulation blanket fabrication. Royal has an extensive line of adhesives and coatings, however, if there is an application that requires a modified product or new development, we have a full lab that provides formulating as part of our service. Royal also will provide products that have been modified to comply with the applicable environmental regulations and, may offer lower or No VOC, low HAP alternatives.
