Water-Based Polishing Slurries
Polishing Slurries
Saint-Gobain water-based polishing slurries feature excellent dispersion properties and cut-rate enhanced additives for fast material removal and outstanding surface finishing on a wide range of materials. Our high-performance alumina polishing slurries are safe, easy to use and friendly to the environment.
MCA 110L and 110Q Alumina Slurries
Specifically designed for polishing plastic lenses, Saint-Gobain MCA 110L is a low viscosity water-based slurry that provides excellent finishes without scratches. In a high volume mass production setting, MCA 110L slurry can polish hundreds of lenses with a yield rate greater than 90%. MCA 110L offers high abrasive loading for longer slurry life In applications where the slurry is re-circulated and reused.
Saint-Gobain MCA 110Q is a plastic lens slurry that delivers excellent polishing results at a competitive price. MCA 110Q is designed to be used in a limited re-circulation mode and may have a shorter life cycle than MCA 110L.
Applications
Polishing plastic lens material: MR-8, CR, NK, 1.67, 1.61 and polycarbonate lenses
Polishing metals: aluminum, carbides and stainless steel components
MCA 768G Alumina Slurry
Designed for polishing metallographic parts and metal components, Saint-Gobain MCA 768G is a high viscosity, water-based slurry that provides an exceptional polish on metallographic components with a minimal amount of slurry. A ready-to-use product, MCA 768G may be diluted with water to extend the life of the slurry.
Applications
Polishing metallographic components
Lapping metals: stainless steel, aluminum, carbides hardened steel and others
MCA 2189D Alumina Slurry
