For more than 50 years, we have designed, produced, and supplied some of the most commonly used brushes in the world. Deburring and Polishing Brushes In an industrial application, deburring is a metal finishing process. After the metal is machined, or formed into a specific shape, residual sharp edges, protuberances, and jagged pieces may exist. The unwanted artifacts are referred to as burrs, and the method of removing those burrs is called deburring. To deburr machined metal, specific deburring brushes are used. These brushes are abrasive in their design and manufacturing so that they can effectively remove the burrs from the machined metal. Deburring metal products is an important step in the finishing process and needs to be done accurately and efficiently to remove all the burrs without marring the finished metal piece. We can produce any size or shape deburring brush to be used in any application. We can meet your abrasive requirements and provide deburring and polishing brushes in high carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, abrasive nylon, or heavy gauge nylon. Customized deburring brush design options include brush diameter with tolerances of .015 inch, brush shape and trim, overall length, and power tool attachments. Tube Cleaning Brushes Designed for cleaning interior surfaces of tubes, internal threads or drilled holes, Sanderson MacLeod’s custom tube cleaning brushes can be manufactured to diameters as small as .062 inch. Long-lasting industrial tube brushes can be used in manual cleaning or can be adapted for use with power tools. Brush shape and bristle abrasiveness are customizable, ensuring optimal brush surface contact and polish effectiveness. General Cleaning Brushes Sanderson MacLeod’s general cleaning brushes are available in natural, multicolored synthetic or metal fiber. These brushes have diameters ranging from .0025 to .021 inch. Stem diameters of .03 to .135 inch are available in galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or brass and are available with or without bends or loops.
