One of Senior Aerospace SSP’s core competencies is the design and manufacture of a variety of flexible joints used in aircraft ducting systems. SSP produces a number of different “flex” joints including universal rotational joints, bellows, gimbal joints, ball joints, and our unique grafoil ball joints. Our flex joints are available in stainless steel, inconel, or titanium. For more than 50 years SSP has provided custom designed ducting solutions capable of meeting the most rigorous requirements demanded by aircraft today. Our ducting products manage the distribution of high pressure, high temperature air throughout the aircraft, from the engines, through the fuselage, to the leading edges of the wings. Our ducting solutions encompass ECS systems, thermal anti-ice systems, fuel tank inerting systems and engine starter duct systems. SSP’s expertise in the design and manufacture of systems using high temperature metals such as titanium, inconel, hastelloy, stainless steel, and composites provides the absolute optimum ducting system solutions as far as weight, and performance. SSP’s range of products include primary engine inlets cowls and exhaust systems, Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) inlets and exhaust ducts, and RAM inlet and exhaust ducts. Our expertise in designing and manufacturing components using high temperature metals such as titanium and inconel alloys allow us to optimize the flow characteristics and acoustics related to exhaust systems. Additonally, SSP’s extensive experience with sheet metal fabrication and composite construction provide the lightest weight yet rigid inlet duct systems.
