ighlands Diversified Services, Inc. performs vertical CNC machining to produce components for homeland security, military, automotive seating parts, satellite antenna components, as well as test equipment and fixtures. Our CNC programmers use 3D CAD models provided by the design team to produce machined parts in for both high and low volumes. This machining capability helps us to produce intricate components to exact specifications. Internationally machined parts can also be reverse engineered to US standards. From stainless steel to plastic, components made from any material are precision machined by us. Drilling, tapping, and slotting services are provided for manufacturing assemblies. We can mill and turn equipment replacement parts as well. Our grinding operations can hold tolerances as close as 0.0002". All milled, threaded, and reamed parts are finished through plating, heat-treating, and coating. All production jobs are monitored real-time through in-process SPC data collection. We also handle all types of custom packing and delivery requirements.
We have been manufacturing shim since 1999. Shim comes in a variety of non-ferrous and ferrous types of material. It is supplied in a variety of thickness and widths and is usually a temper hardened product. It is known throughout the industry as thin pieces of metal that are extremely useful in leveling machine tools or as a tool to align and adjust machinery. For example pumps, fans compressors, die stamping machines, gear boxes, motorized machinery, etc. Shim materials also assist in mechanical modifications that require tight tolerances, cutting down on the time and cost involved in grinding and machining parts.
Our 83, 000 square foot facility is equipped with 32 to 260 ton hand transfer presses to handle short production runs. The 260-ton Clearing Niagra stamping press can process parts up to 84" x 60" in size. Typical metal stampings include cabin-seating platforms for aircrafts, mechanical assemblies, and interiorstructural safety critical components for automobiles. We can also stamp custom parts from stainless steel, brass, and aluminum. Specialists in contract manufacturing, HDS provides metal stamping services to the automotive, appliance, telecommunications, office equipment and aerospace markets. With in-house robotic spot welding and GMAW (MIG) welding capabilities, we also offer metal joining services for stamped components. Our skilled toolmakers use multi-axis CNC machines that are supported by CADCAM interfaces. Stamping dies and weld fixtures are built to customer-provided prints or designs. Using an 'Advanced Product Quality Planning' strategy, we assure on-time programproject completion.
