Electro-plated tools are a single layer of diamond or CBN, mixed in a nickel bath deposited onto a substrate for maximum diamond or CBN exposure. These tools can be electro-plated with grit sizes ranging from 20 mesh for aggressive, rough grinding to 1200+ mesh designed to hold shapes and tight tolerances.

Our hand pads are made of quality diamonds and adhesives to ensure consistent wear. These pads can be used to break edges, hone andor polish materials such as quartz, glass, ceramics, composites and carbides. Our hand pads feature unique diamond patterns so that they remain sharper longer. Each pad is color coded for easy identification. Sierra Diamond Technology wheels are a blend of different metals matched to the diamond, creating a special matrix optimizing the performance of the wheel. The diamond concentration, distribution and exposure are controlled. The result is cooler running, smoother grinding, and longer lasting wheels, allowing for greater productivity. Based on the material, application and requirements, we can formulate a custom blended matrix for an aggressive faster grinding wheel or a less aggressive wheel that lasts longer and produces a better finish. Resin bond wheels are made up of phonetic, polyimide, and copper resins. The resin is mixed with the matching diamond or CBN type and size resulting in a resin matrix used to manufacture the wheels. Due to the degree of elasticity, Resin bond wheels promote relatively low infeed forces which provides for a cool running and smooth grinding wheel with superior performance and finishes. Based on the material, application and requirements, a phonetic resin can be used in dry grinding applications. Polyimide and copper resin wheels must be used with ample coolant. Sierra Diamond Technology manufactures two styles of reamers, an A and B in metal and resin bond. The A style reamer has a straight shank with the diamond section slightly larger for clearance when reaming. The B style reamer typically has a larger shank that tapers down or has an undercut to a specified size and drill depth. The diamond section is slightly larger for clearance when reaming. Due to our manufacturing design, our bonded reamers should be used to open up a preexisting hole or pocket and are not intended for side grinding. We limit the size of our reamers from .025" to .250" OD. Our side grinding diamond and CBN tools are called DW style wheels which can be manufactured in sizes ranging from 18" to 4.5" O.D.
