The NUK ® produces non-toxic process heat while offering the same advantages of a conventional hot oil system. The NUK® High-Pressure Steam Generator is a closed looped (hermetically sealed) system that produces steam for high-temperature applications. Oil Deodorization Sigma Thermal developed the NUK ® specifically for the application of oil deodorization, typically used within the food industry. During deodorization, the NUK is used as a heat source in the process to safely remove undesirable flavors and odors from edible oils; leaving the oil free from toxins.

An electric process heater offers the benefits of directly heating gases and liquids with electric tubular elements. Since the heat is generated by electricity, virtually all of the energy is consumed by the product being heated. As a result, the electric immersion is near 100% efficient. With standard elements constructed of Alloy 800, these heaters are designed to heat a variety of fluids and maintain corrosion resistance. Thermal fluid heating is a type of indirect heating in which a liquid phase heat transfer medium is heated and circulated to one or more heat energy users within a closed loop system. Thermal oil, glycol, and water are common heat transfer mediums. The Sigma Thermal HC product line offers two types of standard thermal fluid heating system packages, the HC-1 and HC-2. Additionally, circulation heaters are offered for electric process thermal fluid systems. We offer engineered thermal fluid heaters for customized needs too. With the high cost and environmental impact of fossil fuels, heat energy is a precious commodity that cannot be wasted. Any exhaust gas stream with temperatures above 250°F has the potential for significant waste heat recovery. Consumers of waste heat energy can be found in almost any facility and are easy to locate. Typical examples include plant process heating, combustion air pre-heating, boiler feedwater pre-heating, and building heat. In addition to savings in everyday fuel consumption, many facilities can market and sell carbon credits back to industry. State and or federal funding is often available for waste heat recovery projects helping to reduce capital costs and expedite system payback.
