Silicon Designs, Inc. builds rugged, accurate, industrial and inertial-grade MEMS DC accelerometers with integrated amplification, full-scale sensitivity from 2g to 400g, and an extremely rugged design for DC to medium frequency applications up to 175°C. All of SDI's MEMS DC accelerometers are 100% designed and manufactured at the company's own global corporate headquarters and R&D center, located just outside of Seattle, Washington, USA. As the OEM of its accelerometers, SDI is dedicated to perfecting its technology design and tightly controlling the entire manufacturing process, resulting in uniformly high quality, short lead times, and the ability to supply quantities from a single piece up thru OEM and program volumes. To ensure the utmost accuracy and reliability, all accelerometers are in-house tested, programmed, calibrated and verified within a climate chamber environment, as well as serialized for traceability. Proven aerospace applications supported by SDI's industrial surface-mount chips, 1-axis and 3-axis accelerometers include: aircraft seat ejection testing; landing gear testing; dynamic platform stabilization; Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS); in-flight structural testing; aircraft and spacecraft systems performance testing; modal analysis; and global aerospace regulatory compliance testing. In addition, SDI's inertial-grade MEMS DC LCC surface mount accelerometers support inertial guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems and tactical navigation systems, such as those found in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs); Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV); Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV); satellites; meteorological drones; and robotic control systems.
