The new Sjogren Puller is compatible with wire diameters ranging from .06 .25 1.5mm 6.3mm, and a pull rating of 5, 000 lbs. 2273 kg when using #100 roller & safety chain, or 3, 000 lbs. 1364 kg when using #80. The jaws have two working surfaces: they can be swapped between upper and lower position to provide double the working life before requiring replacement.

Available with multiple hook-up options, the Sjogren Heavy Duty Wire Puller is ideal for high pull force applications, and can increase reduction in die pull. It is fully compatible with Morgan-style puller block assemblies and makes an ideal replacement component. An aluminum shoe is available as an option to help reduce capstan marking.

The Guides for Traversing PayoffsTake-ups, called the TG style, allow for considerable variations in wire line between payoff and take-up. They can be used with a Uhing-style traverse, mounting the wire guide on top of the traverse box via the four mounting holes in base plate. Sjogrens TG style guides are suitable as replacements for similar style guides by other manufacturers.

By helping control torque variations, tensioning brakes preserve drive train life in winding operations. By relying on magnetic resistance (hysteresis), Sjogrens brakes require no external power source and have no mechanical wear parts (other than ball bearings). Sjogrens Micrometer Adjustment can be an option on any of our modular straighteners. For smaller wires up to .125 3mm in diameter they feature precision vernier-style micrometer heads. For wire greater than .062 (1.5mm) in diameter, Digital Position Indicators mounted integrally with rotating shaft are utilized. Optionally, the micrometers can be preset to your tolerances.

The Bench Top Wrap Tester is used to test spring wire for ductility, or to test the adhesion of metallic coatings. It accommodates wire diameters from 1, 2mm to 9, 5mm (.050 to .375), and features an interlocked guard to ensure operator safety.
