Ultra Clean Edge by Skol Manufacturing Company is a revolutionary new design in perimeter edging for extensive and intensive green roof installations. Designed and tested by certified green roof professionals, our high grade corrosion-resistant aluminum edging is made with over 90% recycled material. Ultra Clean Edge is sold by the lineal foot in 4 foot lengths, or by custom lengths per your project spec. The lengths can be unslotted or slotted (for drainage) and are hemmed to receive slide-in joiners.
Some extensive green roofs exist for their environmental benefit and don't always function as accessible rooftop gardens. They usually support hearty native ground cover. The green roof lowers cooling costs and at the same time aids the lowering of overall atmospheric temperature. Perimeter edging is available made to order and sizes based on individual requirements. Edging is also available for pre-planted growing trays to add a clean finished look. Drain boxes are available to complete the installation, size and material to meet requirements.

Designed as an accurate representation of a mini functioning green roof, Skol Manufacturing Company's Assemble & Learn Green Roof Model offers the opportunity to teach green roof construction first hand at very low cost. Our model also provides an excellent way to demonstrate the functionality and benefits of green roof technology to your clients who are considering a green roof.
For classroom teaching, the Assemble and Learn Model comes with lesson plans and an activity guide at the middle school and high school levels. We designed our model to be assembled by students within one 45 minute period.
The Assemble & Learn Model includes an aluminum rooftop, roof membrane, filter fabric, perimeter edging, drainage aggregate (gravel) and growth media. A plexiglas viewing window allows access to inner workings of the green roof. In the center is a roof drain and built -up drain box assembly. Secondary drain is provided at perimeter wall in non-vegetated area with scupper fence to prevent clogging by media and debris. Water drains to a concealed trough and out a spigot into a graduated container receptacle for measuring purposes. The units also come with a thermometer and probe to measure and compare membrane temperature.

This is an example of our punching and forming services. These lighting socket tracks are produced from our customers supplied CAD drawings to their exact specifications. Turret punched in a multi-part program with (1)-Sheet equaling (15)-parts and then press brake formed these parts produced with prime commercial quality 20ga.CRS. We performed first article, in process and final item inspection with meticulous packaging to insure the parts arrive free of transit damage.

Punching and forming of energy efficient specular reflectors for customers in the lighting industry. These parts are produced from customers supplied CAD drawings to their exact specifications. This part was turret punched and formed with a multi-axis press brake symmetrically formed with (19)-individual forms. These parts were produced with ALANOD Miro-4 material which produces energy savings an evolving trend across the country. We performed first article, in process and final item inspection with meticulous packaging to insure the parts arrive free of transit damage.

This is only one example of an application for a quick install assembly and energy-saving up-date for an existing 2 x 2 recessed fixture. We can work with you on your particular requirements. These parts were produced from specifications supplied for an exact and easy fit. The parts were turret punched in a multi-part program and press brake formed using 22ga.CRS - Prefinished Lighting White. We perform in process and final item inspection with careful packaging to insure parts arrive free of transit damage. Applications vary.

All post-production services are guaranteed to specification. All welds can be cleaned up by grinding and polishing. Stock colors or custom color matching is available, wet paint or powder coated. Prepainted and clear-coated metals are also available in bulk.
