STAINLESS STEEL: SSP has made its mark through the fabrication of stainless steel. The primary uses for stainless steel would be food safe or sanitary applications and situations where the possiblity of corrosion is present. Stainless steel is also popular in residential and commercial spaces for its clean, cosmetic look. The most common grade of stainless steel that is commercially available is Type 304, which is used over 90% of the time where stainless is desired. In especially corrosive situations, such as salt water applications, Type 316 SS can be used. We have the ability to work with all grades, however, including Inconel, Monel, and other exotic alloys. Stainless Steel is available in a number of finishes, from a smooth annealed finish (#2B), to a light cosmetic brush finish (#3 or #4), or even a mirror polish (#8).
