Sheet Metal Fabrication of an Aluminum Black Box Housing for the Aviation Industry Stanron Steel manufactures the black box housing used in the aviation industry. Composed of 6061 aluminum alloy and delivered to a customer in Penang, Malaysia, this part conforms to the highest customer specifications. The finished product features dimensions of 3.10" in width, 3.95" in length and 0.73" in depth, with an estimated part weight of 3 oz., all to tolerances of 0.002"-0.001". Equipment such as a CNC turret punch, hydraulic press brake, and hardware insertion machines are all used during the primary operations. The part is then Aluminum Dip Brazed in 2000 degrees molten salt allowing 100% penetration of all surfaces by capillary action for high vibration applications. After vibratory milling the part is finished with bright tin dip per Mil-T-10727 Type 1. It is inspected throughout the entire process using ISO 9001:2008 worldwide standards.

Fabrication of a Tubular Steel Material Handling KANBAN Cart for the Medical Instruments Industry As a leading solutions provider to the medical instruments industry, Stanron Steel fabricated these Kanban carts as a specialized means for delivering precision components safely and directly to the production floor. Constructed from cold rolled steel tubing, they feature sturdy polycarbonate flooring and heavy duty rolling casters. To fabricate the carts, we utilized our CNC turret punch, hydraulic press brake, and precision cut off saw to form the components. Our certified operators then weld all of the tubing together to provide the structural integrity needed to support the large and heavy products. We finished them with a gray polyester enamel paint to provide abrasion resistance and lasting durability. Featuring dimensions of 74.00" in length, 70.00" in height, and 34.00" in width, these carts are subject to the rigors of daily use. The expert craftsmanship that went into their manufacture provides the customer with a long-term material handling solution that integrates into their Lean enterprise.

Sheet Metal Fabrication of an Aluminum Power Supply Frame for the Medical Industry At Stanron Steel Specialties, our well-detailed fabrication plans combined with our automated equipment enable us to manufacture high quality, close tolerance, complex assemblies with short turnaround times. We fabricate and assemble the power supply frame shown here for a customer in the medical industry. Using our state-of-the-art CADCAM system, hydraulic press brakes, and CNC turret punches, we fabricate the frame, panels, and other components from 0.090" thick 5052-H32 aluminum. Our Timesaver metal finishing machine grains and deburs the work piece, while our automated hardware insertion equipment allows for rapid and accurate assembly. Featuring overall dimensions of 23.50" in length, 20.0" in width, 14" in height, and weighing 35 lbs., our precision fabrication and assembly processes enable us to maintain strict ± 0.005" tolerances. Finished with a RoHS-compliant clear coat, it is painted with a low gloss polyurethane enamel paint to specification. Start to finish, we complete the entire turnkey assembly in only four weeks.
