Superior Panel Technology has developed an economical solution for the dimming of interior aircraft lighting. Choose from either one, two, three or four dimming control circuits. These heavy-duty 115W solid-state dimming kits include a potentiometer with built-in off-switch and power transistors mounted to a heat sink. Solid-state linear dimmers provide more even dimming than either rheostats or a pulse-width-modulating dimmers when using a combination of LEDs, incandescent bulbs of different wattage and electroluminescent strip lighting when connected on the same circuit. A wiring diagram is included which allows the aircraft builder to make and customize the wiring harness to fit individual needs.

The advantages of the E-Z Nuts are numerous: E-Z Nuts simply slip over the instrument and E-Z Nuts are held in place during installation with 3M adhesive--they won't fall off and get lost. Line up one screw hole and then all four are lined up--this is a big advantage when you have one hole that is inaccessible. E-Z Nuts come in two obvious sizes (3 18" and 2 14" that fit the standard aircraft instruments (you won't have to guess what the thickness is of the instrument flange that is behind the panel--"cage type" nuts come in 8 different sizes). The threaded E-Z Nuts are stainless steel and have more threads and will not strip out easily, unlike the thin, brass, threaded plate on the "cage-type" of nut Misalignment and cross threading of the "cage-type" of nut is common, this will not happen with the larger E-Z Nut bezel that is held flat against the backside of the instrument.

Dress up the appearance of your panel and color code your toggle switches with vinyl switch covers. High quality cover that does not have a nipple at the end of the cover, often found on lesser quality covers. Standard size is available in red, green, blue, black, yellow and white. The mini size is available in red and white.

Superior Panel Technology has developed three new, compact solid state Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM) dimmers to meet all aircraft dimming needs. They are extremely easy to install (one terminal screw for power in, one for ground and the third for power out), minimal heat dissipation, and by choosing the right dimmer (ELLED Dimmer, Heavy Duty or Extreme Heavy Duty) you avoid the “dimming steps” in brightness often found in other PWM dimmers. The ELLED Dimmer would be used for LED’s and electroluminescent lighting such as SPT’s Glow Strips. The Heavy Duty dimmer can handle up to 100 watts. The Extreme Power can be used for up to 400 watt @28V or 200 watt @14V! These dimmers have the smallest footprint on the market for a PWM dimmer with a built in circuit breaking off switch The Max Dim dimmers do not have a built in circuit breaking off switch. This ABS thermoplastic fire-rated sheet material can be used as a base material for the making of glare shields and side panel backing. Easily cut, drill, saw and grind this ABS sheeting. The plastic sheets have excellent ductility and formability. Unlike other ABS sheets, this material meets FAR 25.853 burn requirements. Smooth flat surface on one side and a matte finish on the other side. Color is black. Sheet size is .063" x 23.5" x 54". The product cannot be rolled into a tube and is shipped flat.
