The Saf-T-Eye Basic Unit Model No. 15 is available in three metals and four types of glass. The Saf-T-Eye Basic Unit Model No. 15-309SS is made of 309 stainless steel and is suitable for higher operating heat when equipped with higher temperature glass and gaskets. *E-dimension inside the fixture can be extended up to 20". This Saf-T-Eye unit has two shutter assemblies for added protection of the glass and screen. Each shutter opens and closes when the handle is pulled. The Tate-Jones Blast Gate Valves are used to regulate air flow, and the flow of other materials in a variety of applications. A rugged cast iron body with NPT threaded pipe connections houses the precision-machined, self-cleaning, stainless steel slide. The slide is adjusted easily to any position by a choice of operating mechanisms. The Tate-Jones Blast Gate Valves are especially suited for low pressure applications where 100% shut-off is not required. The standard unit is a Class 30 gray iron with maximum temperature of425 F. The Tate-Jones Hi-Temp Peep Sights have standard NPT male pipe threads. The housing of the units is available in stainless steel or carbon steel with nickel plating. Each unit is carefully assembled with a quartz lens and grafoil gaskets. (Blue Vycor lenses are available upon request, please contact sales@tate-jones.com or call us for details). The quartz lens is suited for a maximum intermittent operating temperature of 2048F and continuous operating temperature of 1600F, and allows for optical pyrometer checking of the flame or operation of vessel. The lens can easily be removed for cleaning or replacement. Standard stocked units range in size from 12" to 2". Custom sizes 2-12", 3", 4", 6" by special order.
