The manufacture of both solid laminate and honeycomb panel composites is an important part of Conrad's integrated fabrication facility. Operations range from simple oven curing to autoclave processing of advanced composite prepreg. Working with epoxy, phenolic, polyester, and other resins and fabrics such as Kevlar® and carbon fiber, Conrad makes a wide variety of specialty parts, including floor panels for the B-2 Stealth Bomber.

Using aircraft-grade aluminum, Conrad blanks, pierces, brake-forms, hydroforms, rivets, and assembles hundreds of aircraft parts with high precision and adherence to close tolerance requirements. A part, such as the fast drogue container for the F-22, typically goes to Plastics Processing or to our Sewn Fabric center for integration with other components and final assembly

Beginning with extruded sheets, our expert technicians provide precision trimming, drilling, and final assembly of parts formed in Plastics Processing or in Composites. In addition, Conrad vacuforms both polycarbonates and ABS plastics. Work in this center includes the manufacture of C-17 urinals and the final assembly of the seat pan for the ACES II Ejection System.
