Pumps

  • model PFBA-02
  • Length 13.6 in/346mm
  • Max Continuous Pressure 701 Bar – 1000 Bar
  • Displacement Below 50 cc/rev
Oilgear makes some of the longest-lasting, most reliable pumps in the world. The PFBA pump is from the Towler high-pressure pump product line that specializes in extreme reliability when pumping low-viscocity fluids, such as water-based fluids.

The PFBA-02 has one, high-pressure discharge port.

The PFBA swashmember 13 angle results in low piston head loading, allowing for high speed operation and compatibility with high pressure and high shock loads. A polymer coated plate is attached to the swashmember to provide a bearing surface for thrust loads. The six hardened steel pistons located in a stationary body are not subject to centrifugal force, thus reducing load and wear. The piston load is caused by pumping action only, therefore higher operating speeds are possible. The optional, built-in supercharge pump lubricates and provides case flow for cooling the main pump and eliminates the need for an external supercharge pump

Catalyst PUMPS

The Petrodyne product line consists of high-pressure, reciprocating plunger pumps, designed for pumping harsh media such as catalysts and chemicals. Petrodyne pumps are also used for grease injection, water pumping, and hydro-static testing. The Petrodyne product line ranges up to 200, 000 PSI in maximum operating pressure. Petrodyne is a legacy Oilgear product line, however, many aspects are still supplied and supported by Oilgear. For detailed information, please see the included documentation, or contact an Oilgear representative or authorized re-seller.

Legacy PUMPS

  • Pump Size 4
  • Flow at 2500 PSI and Standard Drive Speed (gpm) 3.0
Guided by the ingenuity and courage of those who pioneered and developed Oilgear Fluid Power transmission in 1921, the C Pump has a reputation for long, dependable service. They keep rolling along quietly.

To best meet the diversified use of fluid power, each Oilgear C Type pump is available with different capacity radial piston assemblies having continuous and peak ratings ranging from 1100 to 3000 psi.

The volume delivered depends upon the size of the unit, the pressure rating, and drive shaft speed. Fluid is discharged in one direction only. Directional control valves can be used to reverse fluid flow. Flanged to each pump is an adjustable relief valve to protect the fluid system against overload. Pumps are available in clockwise, counterclockwise, or reversing input shaft rotation.

Oilgear CG Type constant-delivery pumps have the same radial rolling piston pumps, plus built-in gear pumps and relief valves for auxiliary or pilot valve operations. Theyre also available with suction, check, and back pressure relief valves for supercharge purposes.

Oilgear recommends that legacy C Type pumps be replaced by the current PVV pump line

Motion Compensation

The engineers from the Olmsted product team have developed a proprietary means of achieving the majority of the features of the electro-hydraulic ARV, minus the electronic controls. Not only does the ARV-H not require feedback for the position of the tensioner rod, but the ARV-H can accommodate a wide range of tension and water depth scenarios.Provides the core functionality of the industry-standard Olmsted Electro-Hydraulic valve
Does not require a complex control system
Can be retrofitted onto any existing riser tensioning system direct or wireline
Excellent protection:
Protects against a parted riser and wire rope whipping
Protects against recoil by employing a fully-integrated hydraulic recoil algorithm

Amplifier Controller Card Electronics

The EPC3 is the third generation of Oilgear's line of EPC (Electronic Pump Control) products. The EPC3 module is a fully programmable micro-controller and amplifier for servo operated hydraulic pumps and valves. Programming and tuning is made easy via a standard USB input - no proprietary cable is required. The EPC3 allows the (1) single control axis with a power amplifier to drive VS-, VV- and VM-controlled pumps and valves. The basic pump controller configuration allows for closed-loop response with both stroke position and pressure feedback. In addition, two (2) independent function programs can be dynamically selected with a digital input signal. The unit provides a digital output for simple diagnostics or a watchdog signal.

Three (3) general-purpose analog inputs are provided for command and pressure feedback signals, including 10 VDC, 0-to-20 mA, or 4-to-20mA. Additionally, one (1) analog input is provided as a dedicated fine-adjustable LVDT stroke feedback device. The module allows for (2) two low-power programmable output signals.

The device is configured by first assigning one of twelve (12) built-in function programs to each of the two (2) program blocks. Typically, the output of the function programs is then passed to the EPC3s internal Pump Controller, which provides the valve command.

Variable Displacement Pumps

  • model PVG-048
  • Max Speed 2000 - 3000 RPM
  • Displacement Below 50 cc/rev
An extremely responsive high-speed pump.

The PVG is a variable-displacement, axial-piston pump with fast control response. The PVG thrives on low viscosity fluids and is available in a variety of control and porting options. It is designed to be a high-performance solution for your demanding applications.

Oilgear makes some of the longest-lasting, most reliable pumps in the world. Learn more about the proprietary design of the Oilgear variable-displacement, axial-piston pump line.

PVG open loop, axial piston hydraulic pumps by Oilgear offer high-pressure and superior performance in a compact design. PVG pumps provide an almost instantaneous response to system commands through a high-response four-way pilot-operated control a first for this size and price of pump.

Available in multiple frame sizes and five displacements, high-performance PVG pumps feature Oilgears advanced hard-on-hard rotating system that provides longer operational life, resistance to contamination, and allows for operation with low-viscosity or other special fluids. And, its unique hydrodynamic bearing support on the cylinder barrel contributes to the pumps compact design.

All Oilgear pumps are designed to thrive on low-viscosity fluids, such as high water content and fire resistant fluids, like Skydrol, Stack Magic, Erifon, and 982. Learn more here: Fluid Compatibility of Oilgear Pumps.

Transfer Barrier PUMPS

  • Total Power 500 / 670
  • Max Flow 1000 / 260
  • Max Pressure 260 / 3770
The patented Transfer Barrier Pumping System allows for precision control when pumping high-pressure water, chemicals, or slurries. Our unique design has been applied to fracking, LNG, water-jet cutting, and press control, to name a few applications. The Oilgear Transfer Barrier Pumping System uses the flow of oil from a hydraulic power unit (HPU) to, in turn, precisely control the motion of large pumping plungers. These plungers can then be used in the pumping of chemicals, slurries, or high-pressure water. Based on the area ratios (piston vs. rod) of the plungers, the Transfer Barrier either intensifies or reduces the output pressure.
