The spring-loaded Hold Down Plunger keeps the parts securely in place during staking operations. This reduces motion and play during the assembly process, which results in a tighter finished part. The plunger contacts the part just before the thermal tip hits, and the plunger stays in contact with the part until just after the tip releases.

This conversion kit simply turns any 20 kHz ultrasonic welder into a thermal assembly system. or it can be mounted on a manual arbor press for proto-type work, or low production jobs. The 2005 supplies the heat while your welder controls the timing. The kit consists of a control box with a Watlow temperature controller and a probe assembly, which includes a standard thermal probe, an insulator block and an aluminum adapter block. It also includes adapter studs to attach the thermal probe to your welder.

The 2040 Rotary Thermal System is capable of many simultaneous operations. One system can often solve production problems that would require multiple assembly stations. In a single cycle the 2040 Rotary can heat stake or heat insert on multiple planes. These processes can be performed on large parts or several smaller parts. Our closed loop thermal control circuit is the key to the systems process control. The 2040 thermal control circuit consists of our standard heater probe with built-in thermocouple and a microprocessor based digital display temperature controller. The cam driven indexer provides the mechanism for the parts to be taken from the fixture loading position to the press position.

These table units incorporate the head of the 2010 or 2010T bench top systems with a steel top machine stand. The manual, lever arm unit is ideal for single point or small, multi-point assembly operations. The machine head slides left or right on the gantry and can also be adjusted up or down. The spacious machine stand can accommodate large parts needing extended support. If a fixture is desired, it can be made of aluminum with a plastic pad, or roller ball bearings, to allow free movement for part location. Optional safety rails can be added to safeguard heavy fixtures from falling off the table. The table unit was originally designed as a repair station due to the variety it provides.
