TRICOR's Model 600 Imaging Spectrophotometer is an exciting new product for measuring color. Unlike other imaging colorimeters, the Model 600 can be used to measure radiated sources, reflectance as well as transmittance from 380nm to 780nm. This spectral information can be used to calculate various color coordinates; by convolving the spectral curve with a user specified type of illumination and standard observer. The software allows for any combination of illuminant (11+ types) and standard observer (CIE 1931 or 1964). Resulting color units include XYZ (Tristimulus Values), xyz (chromaticity coordinates), L*a*b* (CIELAB 1976), Lab (Hunter Lab 1946), u'v' (CIE 1976 UCS), L*u*v* (CIE 1976 CIELUV) and CCT (Correlated Color Temperature).

The Model 530 incorporates features field-proven since 1981 in TRICOR'S award-winning, world-renowned temper meters. It offers advanced electronics, extended operating temperature and temperature measurement ranges, as well as user-selectable and programmable functions.

The 530 provides the most convenient and accurate method available for determining the temper of chocolate. Its use allows corrective action to be taken before temper becomes unacceptable and effects production yield.

The key to accurate temper measurement is stringent control of those conditions that affect the measurement. Control is exercised, in part, by precisely regulating the cooling temperature of the test sample, maintaining the depth and temperature of the temperature-sensing probe, and ensuring a constant sample size.

The Model 823 Video Photometer measures the absolute brightness of any size sample or scene and provides quantitative data in fL or cdm2. The 823 employs a progressive scan non-interlaced IEEE 1394 "Firewire" camera to measure the performance of lamps, LEDs, backlit panels, control switches, etc. It also quantifies paint reflectance, hemi-spherical reflectance, micro pitting, mirror reflective haze, contrast, and other appearance characteristics.

TRICOR's Model 225 Chocolate Temper Meter offers accuracy and repeatability for the measurement of chocolate temper in a single, compact, low-cost, no-mess, easy to operate unit. The Model 225 is a truly versatile measurement system finding use by field, production, and laboratory personnel. The user fills a sample cup with chocolate, places it in the unit, and has printed & displayed temper results within minutes. Monitoring chocolate temper using a temper meter ensures the chocolates stability, best flow properties, rapid set, high gloss, mold release, and bloom resistance. Use of the 225 allows corrective action to be taken before temper becomes unacceptable and reduces production yield and shelf life. The 225 incorporates features field proven in TRICOR's temper meters since 1981, the year TRICOR introduced the first temper meter utilizing a thermoelectric cooler.

The Model 933A Life Cycle Tester is a low cost, generic test platform used to perform cycling of keypads, keyboards, membranes, switches, or any product requiring fatigue testing. The system consists of control box, air cylinder with test stand, and software installed by the user in a standard computer. It features a single analog channel used to measure contact resistance and bounce (expandable to four), and an air cylinder with a silicone rubber tip to simulate activation of a finger. The air cylinder may be supplied in various throw lengths, diameters even environmentally sealed. The control box allows for adjusting the velocity, force and acceleration of the cylinder.

TRICOR's Hazer Meter and DOI is ideally suited for measuring flat, non-textured high reflectance surfaces. The Model 807A Haze Meter design is in accordance with ASTM E430 and ASTM D5767 (method A) and is used to measure 3 degrees around the specular lobe centered at 30 degrees in approximately 220 increments. That's an angular sample size of 1 sample per 1.6 minutes of arc! This allows differentiation between samples with very small differences in reflectance characteristics. Verified replacement for the older Hunter Dorigon II haze meter unit.

The Model 913H LED and Keyboard Test System is a low-cost, NIST traceable, highly responsive, generic switch test platform. The 913 is used to perform 100% acceptance testing, quality assurance certification, incoming inspection, and engineering development of keyboards, keypads, membranes, snap-action switches, micro switches, general-purpose switches, cables, LEDs, and seven-segment displays. The system can be use to perform a complete keyboard test, keypad test or individual switch test.

The Model 921B may operate in a standalone mode for production line testing. The operator is presented with a passfail indication for the devices being tested. The Model 921B may also communicate with a PC and provide data for analysis and storage. The analysis includes numerical (tabular) results as well as graphical display of the tested parameters. The Model 555A In-Line Temper Measurement Unit is directly incorporated into a chocolate production line. It continuously monitors the temper of chocolate to ensure product quality and shelf life without requiring operator intervention. The 555A is the first temper measurement system that can be readily installed on existing as well as new production lines.

In-Line Temper Measurement Soft-ware (ILTMS), a Windows-based program, permits users to use an external personal computer to monitor the unit's status, modify configuration parameters, and view stored test results. Since the 555A does not require that an operator take test samples, it truly automates the temper measurement process. The 555A provides the confectionery manufacturer the opportunity to fully automate chocolate temper control, thus eliminating the need for rework and reducing manufacturing costs.
