Water Vapor Adsorbent The silica gel used adsorbs up to 40% of its own weight.
Color Indicator When maximum adsorption is reached the silica gel turns from orange to dark green, indicating replacement is needed. The silica gel used is chemically inert, non-corrosive, and does not contain cobalt chloride, a heavy metal. The color changing dye used is environmentally safe and meets all health and safety requirements.
Dual Filtration System A two micron filter (99% efficiency) is located at the top and bottom of the silica gel bed. The top filter removes particle contamination from atmospheric air and the bottom helps with dust created by the silica gel beads contacting each other
Activated Carbon As air is expelled, it passes through activated carbon which removes oil vapors, fumes, and odors (except for part numbers 39131, 39132, 39133, and 39134).
Bi-directional air flow A 360 air flow allows air to be breathed in and out as fluid level changes or differential pressures occur. Expelled air backflushes the particulate filter to prolong the life of the breather

The Low-Viscosity Portable Filter Cart System provides convenient off-line filtration, flushing, conditioning, and fluid transfer of industrial oils. The system is capable of delivering a flow up to 14 GPM and is rated for use with lubricants up to a viscosity 2, 000 SUS @ 100F. To ensure equipment receives the cleanest oil possible for increased life, the system utilizes a two-stage filtration processoil enters through the primary element where coarse particulate is removed, and then moves through the secondary filter element where fine particulate and water is removed. For added utility, the new filtration system features differential pressure gauges that indicate when each of the filter elements need to be changed. Tricos High-Viscosity Filter Cart System is specifically designed for high-viscosity fluids associated mainly with gear oils and can filter oils up to 7500 SUS @ 100F (1600 cSt @ 40C).
To ensure that the equipment receives the cleanest oil possible, for increased equipment life, Tricos High-Viscosity Filter Cart System provides two-stage filtration. The oil flows through the primary filter first, where coarse particulates are removed. Then the fluid flows through the secondary filter where fine particulates and water are removed.
The system is available with a high grade industrial grade gear pump or pneumatic motor. A variety of filter media elements are available to meet recommended manufacturer cleanliness levels.

Watchdog Desiccant Breathers are easily installed using several adapters designed for different applications: Flange, Threaded, Bayonet, Spin-On, or Bypass. The Bypass Adapter (item 39207) is designed for applications where there is very heavy oil mist being expelled from the equipment. When air is breathed into the equipment, it passes through the Watchdog and is cleaned and dried. When the air is breathed out of the equipment it enters the adapter and is expelled to the outside without passing back through the breather.
