Connection heads are available in cast iron, epoxy coated aluminum, stainless steel and polypropylene. For hazardous area applications, connection heads which comply with FM, CSA or ATEX standards can be supplied. Most of the housings meet or exceed NEMA 4 (IP 67) environmental specifications and can be used with virtually any NSPI RTD or thermocouple. As standard, each connection head is supplied with an integral terminal block to simplify field wiring. Alternatively, one of our economical Temperature Transmitters can be installed and preconfigured prior to shipment to complete your assembly.

The unit features advanced capabilities typically found in a managed switch plus a Self-Healing Ring function, which is compatible with Ultra’s EOTec 2104 Industrial Ethernet Ring Switch (10100 Mbps). Network traffic is rerouted in milliseconds when a fiber or cable break is detected on any of the ring ports. An alarm output, available on the terminal block, can be used to signal error conditions to a PLC or other supervisory devices. Ports 1-4 are copper only; ports 5-8 can be either copper or fiber ports. The fiber ports offer LC type connections and a variety of Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) fiber transceivers are available for differing fiber types and lengths. he EOTec 2000 fiber optic Multi-Channel Contact Closure transceiver modules are used to convert up to ten contact closure inputs into fiber optic signals for transmission over a single fiber optic link. These units are commonly used for remote transmission over long distances (up to 16 miles), transmission through hazardous areas and alarm event triggering. Applications for this device include long distance transmissions, lightning prone areas, transmissions through hazardous areas. Cost Effective Signal Multiplexing without a PLC! Each transceiver module includes two contact closure inputs and is capable of driving up to ten inputs by cascading additional dual channel input modules. A de-pluggable screw terminal on the bottom of the module is provided for connection to the input signal. NSPI manufacturers a wide variety of nuclear qualified thermowells in virtually any style or material. While NSPI’s standard thermowells are fabricated from stainless steel, other materials such as Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy are regularly produced. For ASME SECTION III compliant thermowells, we source bar stock materials from a certificate holder and then manufacture the wells under our NQA-1 and NCA 3800 quality program. The thermowell styles offered by NSPI include standard and heavy duty in socket wells, threaded wells and flanged wells.

The EOTec 2000 Fiber optic modems are a family of modules designed to take traditional copper networks, convert them to fiber optic signals, and convert them back again. All modules fit on standard 35mm DIN rail and each has an integrated backplane. As a result, there is no separate backplane to purchase and no external wiring between modules. Simply attach each module to the DIN rail and slide them together until they mate to one another. The EOTec 2000 series represents an extremely flexible and scalable solution to the problems often encountered when using copper to interconnect communication nodes. Both multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic links are supported. Options are available to support all the popular fiber optic connectors (ST, SMA, SC), providing users the ability to construct dependable and robust networks. Problems such as ground loops, isolation and lightning strikes are eliminated with the EOTec 2000 fiber optic modems. Fiber optic communication links can also be extended over much greater distances and take on physical topologies not available with copper networks. For instance, star and self-healing ring topologies are impossible when using copper interconnects. These configurations are easily achievable with the EOTec 2000.
