An umbilical is useless if its not terminated and as a supplier to end users it is imperative that Umbilicals International is able to provide a fully terminated and ready to use umbilical. Electrical terminations are performed on the umbilical cables, with hose fittings installed on the hoses. D-Rings and D-RingSnap Shackles are also attached when requested. The complete umbilical will then be supplied with a test certificate providing the customer with the assurance that the umbilical is tested to the ISO9001-2008 standards followed by Umbilicals International.

The cable(s) may be bundled into an umbilical design or they may be used as stand alone cables. The cable or umbilical is typically fitted onto a wooden reel for shipping, with wooden lagging covering the product to protect it during transit.

Range cables are used for the detection or signature identification of vessels. The cables designed and manufactured by Umbilicals International can be either fixed or portable, with the transfer of power and data tofrom onshore control panels. These cables are commonly located in busy shipping areas where damage due to anchorage or fishing activity is possible. For this reason it is essential that the cable is designed to be robust and deurable, hence you will find most designs comprise an outer armoring package

Umbilicals International has many years experience in the design and manufacturing of diver umbilicals for both surface and bell excursion applications. Hose types are available to suit our clients needs and specificiations and we take into consideration pressure rating, flexibility and abrasion resistance with each construction. Hoses are twisted with cables to provide all power, communications and video capabilities and lifelines can be incorporated when there is a demand. Various end fitting and electrical terminations are available to suit specific needs. All of our design and manufacturing is performed at our plant in Stafford, Texas.

Umbilical International product line includes umbilicals for life support applications such as main bell, wet bell and habitat diving. Our design and manufacturing included hoses and cables providing services such as gas, hot water supply, gas reclaim, power supply, depth monitoring, communication and video transmission. Our umbilicals are built with a twisted rope-like construction and are supplied with polyethylene monofilament overbraid or extruded jacket. All design and manufacture, testing and termination takes place inhouse in our Stafford, Texas location.

The Main Bell Umbilical (MBU) provides all critical life support links to the diver in the diving bell. The MBU contains hoses for gas supply, gas relcaim, hot water supply, and depth monitoring. In addition to the hoses there are cables to provide power and communication and there may also be ropes to increase the breaking strength of the MBU. The MBU can be designed specifically to meet the customers requirement or alternativelly a standard design may be used. Umbilicals International has a proven track record in the supply of umbilicals to the highest standards, with the capability to provide your MBU fully certified to DNV-OS-E402 (January 2004).

Umbilicals Internaional designs and manufactures our umbilicals to meet the requirements of various hand held and other subsea tools for applications like welding, cutting and hull cleaning. Power, control andor video cables can be combined with pneumatic andor hydraulic hoses to provide an umbilical that can be used for almost any tooling operation. The umbilical is typically overbraided with a polyethelene braid for protection. All Umblicals International umbilicals are built and tested on-site and come with terminations.

Umbilicals International can mold on a variety of connectors to the cables and umbilicals we manufacture at our facility in Stafford, Texas. Molding can be performed using cold mold potting compound or on one of our our injection molding machines. UI can install customer issued connectors, OEM connectors from a variety of connector manufactures or one of the sister company Seiscon connectors

Umbilicals International has the resources to design and manufacturer specialist cable and umbilicals that are used for Anti-Submarine Warfare applications. The cables within this catagory can relate to one of a number of military applications, two of which are; Cables that provide a reading once a submarine passes over the cable and triggers a response of some kind.A cable used to deploy a hydrophone from an aircraft to listen for submarines.
