The UD APEX SL offers the latest technology in digital signal processing and shaker control algorithms providing real time vibration test controller systems for Random, Sine, Shock, Resonance Dwell, SRS, Random on Random, Multi-tone Sine on Random, Multi-Sine Control, TRAC (time replication acceleration control) vibration testing and Transducer Calibration, as well as extensive data acquisition and analysis. The modular software may be initially customized for specific applications or easily expanded in the future without performance penalties. It provides an abundance of comprehensive features that ensure simple, safe, accurate and reliable vibration testing.

UD Long Stroke Thruster Systems are highly regarded as the industry standard for long stroke transient testing featuring large displacements from 6 to 24 inches (152 - 610 mm). This equipment is used in the design and production test of automotive airbag sensors by leading suppliers of automotive airbags and associative control modules. A specially configured 12 inch LS Thruster is available and used primarily by Telecommunications Companies for earthquake simulation and transportation replication applications.

Unholtz-Dickie offers a full line of high-performance Class D switching power amplifiers. These amplifiers, used in UD’s new shaker systems, are offered as replacements for older, water-cooled vacuum tube amplifiers or bipolar transistor amplifiers. Many vibration test systems purchased more than 20 years ago include low-efficiency, water-cooled power amplifiers housed in large multi-bay consoles. These old technology linear amplifiers consume large amounts of 3-phase electrical power, occupy excessive amounts of valuable floor space and require environmentally “unfriendly” water cooling systems. All of these problems have one common solution: a new SA Series Power Amplifier from Unholtz-Dickie!

Unholtz-Dickie offers three configurations for fully integrated slip table assemblies for vibration testing; the ST Series, HST Series and the CSTA Series. Horizontal slip tables are used for three-axis sequential testing (x, y, z axes) or used when it is necessary to maintain product positioning with respect to gravity.

Unholtz-Dickie Transducer Calibration Systems have earned their place in industry as the standard for calibrating accelerometers and velocity transducers. The Model 680C is UD's latest generation of an automated transducer calibration system, utilizing the expanded features of the i5 based APEX SL-C Windows vibration control system. The Model 680C Calibration System offers a large 3.25 inch (83 mm) table and expanded performance envelope for high force, displacement and load capability. It is configured with the Model TA100CL-S032-C amplifier and shaker. The Model 680C is a complete system and includes everything needed to calibrate accelerometers and velocity transducers, including the S032-C Calibration Shaker, Power Amplifier with integrated Field Power Supply, Cooling Fan, TSC-3 transducer signal conditioner, and 8B6 Lab and Working standard accelerometers and respective mounting hardware. The 680C is critical for satisfying ISO9000 test requirements of vibration transducers. For U.S. NAVY applications UD supplies the Model 680 Transducer Calibration System. This is a customized version of the 680C with added features specific to the NAVY requirements.

Unholtz-Dickie offers a wide range of head expanders and head plates to maximize the versatility of any electrodynamic shaker. The head expanders are manufactured from light-weight magnesium alloys, providing high strength-to-weight ratio. By increasing the mounting area of the shaker, multiple items can be tested at the same time, decreasing total test cycle time. In addition, with Guided Head Expanders and Added Load Support, heavy payloads with large foot prints can be safely mounted and tested on the shaker, minimizing the risk of damage to the shaker suspension system. Although many head expanders are resonant below 1000 Hz, average or extremal control allows operation to 2000 Hz.
