GPS LED Red Beacon With Monitoring

The Unimar GPS controlled beacon, PN: USL40X provides synchronized flashing of multiple units in wind farms and other applications. The Unimar GPS controlled beacon not only provides the synchronized flashing function but also the following alarm monitoring with LED status indicators:

Beacon failure
Loss of GPS pulse signal
Photocell failure
Loss of power
The monitoring, flashing, synchronization and alarm functions are integrated into one solid state module. This module is mounted in the base of the beacon, protecting the device from heat, sun and UV rays. With a good GPS signal, beacon synchronization is maintained whenever power is applied to the controller. The output to the LED beacon is controlled by the internal Photo-Control.

Additional features include GPS signal monitoring, an option switch for selectable flashrate and option switch for photocell monitoring.

LED Dual Medium Intensity Red

The all LED Medium Intensity White Strobe and Red Beacon is designed for the lighting of chimneys, silos, flarestacks and other obstructions to aerial navigation as specified by the FAA and FCC. The Dual L864L865 uses LED technology for light output for both the Red Beacon and the White Strobe. Unlike conventional Xenon flashtube technology, little or no maintenance is required during its lifetime. Working voltages of less than 200 VDC are significantly less than those of Xenon flashtube designs. Therefore, this system represents an advance in safety. The Dual L864L865 LED Beacon operates from a 100230 VAC 5060 Hz supply. The power supplycontrol box can be located up to 550 ft away from the light engine, such as at the base of the tower.

Unimar FAA Obstruction Lighting Monitoring Systems

The DM-900 has eight inputs that can be configured for contact closure or voltage alarms. These inputs can be configured as: Alarm, Event or Normal for both the Normally Closed and Normally Open conditions. Paging via alphanumeric labeling is used to simplify the reading and understanding of the reported alarms. The DM-900 has a built in photocell monitor that works with 110VAC photocells. It has selectable daynight alarm timers and logs when the photocell changes from day to night and back to day. The cabinet door is monitored and can be used to generate an alarm for quarterly tests or for tamper detection. When there is a power loss, an onboard circuit monitors the battery voltage disconnecting it before the voltage drops to low and causes damage to the backup battery.

The DM-32 Alarm Monitor can deliver alarms directly to an alphanumeric pager or a PC located at a Network Operations Center (NOC) when any standard POTS line is used. The DM-32 has thirty-two contact closure inputs for monitoring a variety of alarm conditions. These inputs can be configured as: Alarm, Event or Normal for both the Normally Closed and Normally Open conditions. There are eight control outputs that can be triggered by the alarm inputs. Paging via alphanumeric labeling is used to simplify the reading and understanding of the reported alarms.
