Posi-Leveler Motorized

The Posi-Leveler allows for motorized adjustment of the beams central lifting point during the lift to always maintain a balanced load. Fused And Tapered Rope Ends

This method ensures that the rope ends will not unravel or flare open when the rope is installed or handled.

The Fusing and Tapering method is also welcomed by anyone who has to install ropes into wedge sockets or who has to re-reeve hoisting ropes on a mobile crane.

All non-rotating rope ends are dipped in a red plastic powder. There is no real technical reason for it other than that you can find the rope end much easier while re-configurating the number of line parts in your hoisting block.

This end preparation is FREE OF CHARGE for the following rope: Python Lift, Compac 35, Compac 18, Hoist, Multi, Super 8, Classic 8, Power 9, Ultra, Uni 4, 197, 247, 1919, all 8-strand ropes as well as all DoPar types.

Cable Grips

Cable Grips for Wire Rope Installation are made from a wire hollow braid. They are being pushed over the rope end and tighten as soon as tension is applied. Our cable grips are made from a heavy duty strand which is much stiffer and much stronger than the one commonly used for electrical cable installations. Also, our grips are much longer in length to provide increased holding and gripping force.

Most common type for smaller diameter ropes is Open Ended to pull same sized wire ropes.

Loop Ended are preferred for larger diameter ropes. They allow to install a swivel between the grips to compensate for rope rotation.

Forged Wire Rope Clips

U-Bolt Clips are popular for field installations but require a torque wrench and for larger sizes a vice to hold the clip in; otherwise you are not able to torque the nuts to the recommended values. Most importantly, clips have to be re-torqued after a test load. Installation must be done by a TRAINED and COMPETENT person.

Wire rope strength will decrease to 80% of catalogue breaking strength up to 1" rope diameter, and to 90% above 1" rope diameter, even when U-Bolt clips are properly installed.

For elevator, personnel hoist, and scaffold applications refer to ANSI A17.1 and ANSI A10.4. These standards do not recommend U-Bolt clip wire rope terminations.

This process is usually applied to Python DoPar type wire ropes or where the rope core is plastic coated. This process is applied after the rope has been manufactured and compresses the entire rope circumference. Individual surface wires are shaped flat as well as closing strand gaps. The advantages are:
increased strength
less wire interlocking on multiple drums
embedding strands into plastic coated cores
achieve tighter diameter tolerances
reduces constructional rope stretch to near zero

Rotation Resistant And Non-Rotating Wire Rope

The characteristic of these wire ropes are that the outer layer is twisted in the opposite direction of their inner layers. The sometimes confusing issue is that many 8-, 9- and 10 strand constructions are 2-layer types but their inner strands are NOT twisted in the opposite direction and therefore these rope are NOT spin-resistant; plus, for the untrained eye these ropes look very much alike their spin-resistant variants. These and regular 6-strand ropes will spin violently and unlay themselves when loaded when one rope end is allowed to spin freely. They may also develop a significant drop in breaking strength and an even larger drop in their fatigue life characteristic (Torsion Fatigue).

To achieve any degree of resisting the tendency of a rope to spin and unlay under load all such rope types (other than 4-strand ones) are constructed with 2 or more layers of opposite twisted strands (see picture on right).
