The 7660 Tactical Fuel Gauge (TFG) is a rugged sensor for measuring pressure and temperature in military and expeditionary collapsible tanks. It provides queried or continuous pressure and temperature measurements of fuel stored in collapsible tanks for accurate and reliable 247 inventory management.

That's why FuelsManager has been designed to run on mobile platforms for refueling aircraft, from Glycol and GSE fuel tracking at airports to tactical fuels measurement and fuel distribution at military bases worldwide.

Varec temperature measurement devices range from simple spot measurement probes to more complex multi-element sensors and transmitters that are capable of measuring the temperature throughout the tank and detect water levels. The increased accuracy achieved by temperature measurement allows for tighter control of all tank farm liquid inventories. You can also track product effectively and balance book vs. physical inventories more accurately.

The Varec FODD system reduces runway downtime while increasing runway safety, allowing you to increase capacity and efficiency. At the center of the solution is a network of sensors called surface detection units (SDUs), co-located with the runway edge lights. Each SDU utilizes a combination of millimeter-wave radar and camera optics. Together, these SDUs automatically and continuously scan operational areas and use patented image-processing algorithms to monitor runway conditions for FOD, wildlife and equipment status — even during inclement weather conditions.

Tank gauge transmitters vary in capabilities and technology. Devices with level switches can be used to drive alarms or relays. Most provide level indication from standard float gauges and are able to integrate temperature probes to provide data for temperature corrected volume measurement. Varec's latest transmitters use absolute encoder technology with highly-accurate capacitive sensors.

Radar technology is suitable for measuring a wide range of petroleum products. Radar technology is independent of the process conditions inside the tank. Temperature, pressure and gas vapors have minimal effect on "radar impulses." The dielectric constant of the liquid being measured is a critical factor when considering a radar tank gauging solution.
