These 1100 aluminum detonator cups are used within automotive airbag applications, as well as in other military applications. Employing a 2 out progressive die placed in a 22 ton minster OBI press; we were able to machine the part complete in just one operation, using only one piece of equipment, while still upholding a tight () .0005 inch precision tolerance.

Specializing in deep drawn metal stamping manufacturing services since 1978, Waterbury Contract Eyelets & Stampings, Inc. was contracted by clients from the plumbing industry to construct a series of complex faucet cams to be used within a faucet assembly. These components possessed a complex radius and angle.

Upholding a tight (+-) .0015 precision tolerances, we employed our advanced Platarg transfer press to deep drawn stamp the faucet cams. Each complex part was formed complete in just one operation and was able to meet precise, customer required dimensions. Constructed from stainless steel material, each part measured 1.516 inches in length with a wall thickness of .015 inches. The diameter of each unit tapered down from .624 to .405 inches. Using precision measuring equipment, we tested the cams to ensure they met precise dimensional specifications.

With our deep drawn stamping machinery, we were able to manufacture the complex stainless steel faucet cams complete using just one efficient machining operation, delivering the parts to our international clients based in both China and Mexico.

This press stamped mild steel motor cover is used in an electrical motor application
Waterbury Contract Eyelets & Stampings, Inc. was recently contracted to produce a series of press stamped mild steel motor covers for a client from the electrical industry based in Rockland, Massachusetts. Since deep drawn stamping was not required to complete this project, we, instead, employed our 22 ton Niagara Obi press to create this part. With our technology, we were able to stamp the whole form of the part in one efficient machining operation while upholding a .002 inch precision tolerance. Motor voltages and amperages were also stamped into each component.
