Our Complete range of products are backstops, AC Motors, Conveyor Belt Drives, Bearings and Couplings.
Backstops are devices designed to protect inclined conveyors from the dangers of gravity accelerated reverse runaway. Backstops are used as a safety mechanism in the event that a drive has failed and needs to be stopped immediately. West River carries the leading backstop brands including Falk, Formsprag and Ringspann.
West River offers many different types of AC motors for sale. Motors range in horsepower from 50 to 300 with various RPM. Different frames sizes are available for different applications. West River is OEM for the most well-known names in the industry including Reliance-Baldor-Dodge and Worldwide Electric. We also offer inverter style motors to be used with VFD starters. West River’s established relationship with Reliance-Baldor-Dodge allows for competitive pricing to meet your motor usage requirements. Our priority is to reduce operating costs and help make our drives more efficient by using reputable motors on our products.
An Alignment-Free Drive refers to the power base components — reducer, fluid coupling and motor — properly constructed to eliminate shaft misalignment. With an Alignment-Free Drive, there are two critical elements, input and output, where the need to align is completely eradicated, making it a great choice for those interested in long-term cost savings and efficiency.
complete bearings to include pillow block, taper-lock and flange, two or four-bolt design, and split or solid-housing styles. West River has special pricing from Dodge, SKF and other leading bearing suppliers. Stocked items include but are not limited to sizes ranging from 2 716”-12 ½”. If you are in need of bearing housings or seals only, West River can assist you by getting you the bearing you need in a timely manner. constant-fill and fill-controlled fluid couplings, gear couplings, grid couplings, elastomer couplings and more from leading brands like Voith, Falk, Rexnord and Kraftpower. West River has in stock and ready to sell in a pinch, flexible disc couplings, T10, T20, G20 couplings, wrapflex couplings, and more. If not in-stock, West River can get a part for you in a timely manner. Let us help you find a coupling to suit your operational needs. New, used and rebuilt options available for every budget. For sizing, availability, price and to discuss which type of coupling or fluid coupling might be right for your conveyor, please call West River at 800-332-2781 or fill out the form below. Fluid couplings are used to gently accelerate belt drives. Fluid couplings limit torque, provide load sharing upon start-up and dampen torsional vibrations increasing your conveyor system’s productivity and longevity. Maximum energy savings is also achieved when fluid couplings are used, due to current peak reduction. In many cases customers opt to use a gear or elastomer coupling if they are using a VFD starter.
West River sells a variety of new and used conveyor pulleys including head pulleys, bend pulleys, snub pulleys, take-up pulleys, tail pulleys, drum pulleys and more. West River offers pulleys with many different types of lagging including ceramic, diamond, smooth, and herringbonechevron. West River works directly with customers to find a pulley that will fit their unique application. Starting with the pulley shaft, CEMA specifications dictate a standard shaft extension and West River surpasses that standard. Additionally, heavy-duty integral end discs with bushings are utilized, dampening axial movement along the shaft and mitigating the common failure point on conveyor pulleys. It is very important to our company to never lose contact with the customer, walking them through the entire pulley purchasing process and making sure they get the pulley they need for their operation in a timely manner. Depending on customer application requirements, West River offers a variety of sizes and lagging options from leading suppliers in the industry – DodgeBaldor, PPI, and Martin CCI.
