The more slender needles are also used for "plunging" a wired element to the back of your work in Raised Embroidery. Also, the slender sizes can be used for wrapping a pony bead with embroidery thread.

Au Ver Soie , Soie Perlee is a twisted 3 ply filament silk.
Soie Perlee has a different color number system than Au Ver Soie , Soie dAlger.
Soie Perlee has different colors that Soie dAlger which greatly enlarges the range of shades of silk available to over 1000 different colors.
The weight of Soie Perlee is not comparable to anything else in the industry. We have found that unlike perle cotton, Soie Perlee expands to fill the area when using a light tension.
The top and bottom of the spools lift up for ease in securing the thread.

Thread Applications

Soie Perlee is perfect for cross stitch on linen. It is particularly nice to use in contrast with Soie dAlger, in the same design----one thread having a high sheen, the other a soft luster.
Soie Perlee is much more durable for canvas work, compared to cotton perle threads that lose their sheen quickly. The sheen of Soie Perlee is of a more permanent nature.
Looking for a lot of light play in hardanger or pulled thread work? Soie Perlee adds an elegance that has not been achievable in the past.
Soie Perlee makes the most beautiful cording and tassels for needlework finishing.

Designed for our SlateTenter frame, the rounded top and bottom tip prevent the scratching of surfaces or skin when using an assembled frame, compared to cotter pins or metal screws. Set of 4 package.

Square hoops with rounded corners are popular with counted thread embroiderers. The size opening is better suited for sampler work than a round shaped hoop. The width is 516 inch. One of the more atypical sizes we stock is a rectangular "square" hoop that is 16 inches long by 12 inches wide. Note, too this hoop has extra heavy duty screw fastener and can be used for machine embroidery.

- 3 ply Filament silk
- Glossy, lustrous and shimmery it is designed and manufactured to cover tent stitch on 18 mesh canvas.
- If you say the word "silk" to the non-embroiderer this is what they think it should look like.
- Range has a unique color palette not found in other thread lines.
- Excellent choice for a beginning needlepointer as it is gratifying to see how pretty even basketweave stitch looks.
- Size is between a #3 and #5 Pearl cotton.
- Before stitching, pinch the thread at the beginning, and pull it through your fingers. This relaxes both you and the thread.
- Too prevent untwisting, make sure the eye of the needle is consistently facing you as you stitch.
- Plies can be separated and recombined to produce a "watery" effect in satin stitches.
- Can be used as is on 13 or 18 mesh canvas.
- Permanently marked spool means you always know what color you have.
