Lean and mean, TPX is the ultra-tough municipal rubber fire hosebut without bulk and weight. Traditionally manufactured extruded hose can vary in thickness, becoming bulky and heavy. TPXs unique 3-ply design features a ribbed cover and smooth nitrile liner that are extruded independently. The cover is inserted inside the tight-weave polyester reinforcement, vulcanized, then turned inside-out. The liner is then inserted and the hose is vulcanized a second time to form a bond of all three plies, guaranteeing a consistent, compact hose wall. This makes the lightweight TPX more resistant to puncture and easier to pack and store, requiring less hose bed space than typical extruded hose.

Maneuverable. Packable. Dependable. HFXs nitrile thru-the-weave, rubber covered hose design utilizes both polyester and nylon 6.6 yarn in the reinforcing jacket. Under pressure, the polyester keeps the hose from snaking where the nylon allows for controlled dilation, reducing friction loss and generating higher flow rates. A special rubber compound creates a tough cover that resists heat, abrasion, snags and hot embers, giving you complete confidence on the fireground. Super. Strong. Reinforced with a blend of circular woven, twill weave, polyester and nylon fibers, this interlocking matrix means no adhesives are used. A permanent bond to all warp and filler yarns creates unmatched durabilityhighly resistant to both contact and radiant heat.

FLX sets the performance standard for light duty water discharge. Conventionally extruded rubber hose can vary in thickness, creating excess bulk and weight. But FLX is different by design: The cover is inserted inside the tight-weave reinforcement, vulcanized, then turned inside-out. The liner is then inserted and the hose is vulcanized for a second time, forming a permanent bond of all three pliesguaranteeing a consistent and compact hose wall. The result is an exceptionally strong and tough hose with a lay-flat design that makes FLX easy to deploy and store.
