The project highlighted here was machined as part of a mill repair project. Utilizing our lathe, we machined this component to dimensions of 18" outside diameter, 6" of inside diameter, and 19" in length, all to tolerances of 0.125". This component was dimensionally inspected throughout machining to maintain these high standards. This product can be produced from alloy, carbon, andor tool steel, and we are able to machine components such as this with turnarounds of 5 to 7 days. The project highlighted here was manufactured utilizing our precision CNC turning capabilities. Manufactured for a customer in the eastern United States, this steel ring was designed for use in industries such as automotive, rail, agricultural, as well as gear shops and manufacturers. This part featured dimensions of 5" in length, an outside diameter of 8", and an inside diameter of 5". The customer supplied drawings called for tolerances of 0.003", which were verified throughout the manufacturing process with various dimensional inspections.
