DragonPlate real CarbonKevlar veneer, our thinnest product, is well suited for covering large surfaces or for decorative trim. Comprising 50% carbon fiber and 50% Kevlar in a twill weave, this veneer presents a unique black and red appearance. The gloss and matte finishes provide any project with a distinctive CarbonKevlar facade. Sheets are available as large as 4' x 8', yet the material forms into a cylinder as small as 1 inch. Because Kevlar is a tough material, it may be slightly tougher to trim than our standard carbon veneers. Can also be used for outdoor applications as we utilize a UV resistant resin that extends the life of the part and finish under sun exposure. Decals may simulate the look of carbon fiber from a distance, but up close there is little comparison to the DragonPlate finish.

The Carbon Fiber D-Tube Neck Beam has been specifically designed to stabilize instrument necks due to its unique D-Tube structure. The Carbon Fiber D-Tube Neck Beam significantly increases both bending and torsional stiffness and weighs less than the removed wood! The D-Tube Neck Beam is available in 34" in both straight and tapered versions and 12" straight to fit virtually all necks. The 34" tapered version is designed to be used on thin necks while the 12" straight is designed for smaller necks such as a mandolin.

DragonPlate Flame Retardant Carbon Fiber veneer products resist the spread of fire which makes them ideal for aviation and marine use or any other application that require flame retardant properties. This narrow twill weave (17 picinch) is similar to out standard twill veneer but is comprised of a finer weave. Flame Retardant DragonPlate carbon fiber veneers have successfully passed FAR 25.853(a), Appendix F testing. Our flame retardant veneer has the same deep luster and glossy mirror finish as our standard DragonPlate veneer line. We also offer flame retardant in our scratch resistant matte finish.

These carbon fiber telescoping tubes nest within one another and slide effortlessly. They are ideal for creating adjustable poles, robotics, factory automation, or any other application where compact storage and long extension length are necessary. Additional clamping force in the collet can be obtained by sanding the tube to remove the epoxy ridges.

For less demanding applications where you can live without the optimized material properties of a quasi-isotropic lay-up, we have created EconomyPlate. Our EconomyPlate sheets are comprised of orthotropic (non quasi-isotropic) laminates utilizing a twill weave at 090 orientation, while maintaining a symmetrical and balanced laminate. For most sheet thicknesses, we offer a finish on one side of either high gloss, matte or textured and on the other side, a textured finish providing an excellent bonding surface. As with all DragonPlate solid carbon fiber sheets, EconomyPlate is composed entirely of a tough and rigid carbon reinforced epoxy matrix. CNC machining is also available with EconomyPlate solid carbon fiber sheets.

Dyneema, the world's strongest fiber, is respected as the premium brand for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMwPE). DragonPlate offers carbon fiber sheets with a Dyneema core. These sheets maintain the majority of the stiffness of a solid all-carbon fiber laminate due to a combination of carbon fiber skins and a 7030 carbonDyneema ratio core. The 30% Dyneema woven into the core, however, yield a plate with exceptional impact toughness. If your project requires a balance between strength and rigidity, these sheets may be the ideal solution.

Dragonplate uni prepreg carbon fiber sheets are our stiffest and strongest flat material option for structural applications where minimum weight is essential. From military to industrial robotics to scientific equipment, our proprietary processing methods result in high fiber volume, no-crimp, extremely low void fraction carbon fiber sheets suitable for the most demanding missions. Finish is textured on both sides.
