Bearings #5145485

Instrument Bearings

The construction of these bearings enables them to carry moderate radial and thrust loads at low operating torque while providing high performance within a small design. Miniature and instrument bearings are available in stainless steel for those applications requiring corrosion resistance, and chrome for maximum fatigue life. Stainless steel or chrome steel bearings are available with crown or ribbon type metallic cages. Open or shielded bearings may be flanged or unflanged. Bearings are available in angular and radial contact angles and can be custom lubricated to meet your specific needs. Machine Tool Spindle Bearings

These are precision angular contact bearings, non-separable with outer rings relieved and available with 15 or 25 contact angles. For critical applications these bearings are stocked as universally ground duplex pairs with standard preloads and as single row bearings. A different design for separable, single row bearing series with inner ring relieved and 15 contact angle is also available. Duplex pairs can be mounted back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem depending on the loading expected. Due to high speeds, these bearings usually require phenolic retainers, which have either a stepped or cylindrical pocket design.

Torque Tube Bearings

Thinex and Torque Tube bearings are available in radial and angular contact designs and distribute the load over a greater number of small diameter balls for lower starting and running torque. These are used where instrument ball bearings require low friction and high accuracy. All Thinex and Torque Tube bearings can be supplied as duplex preloaded matched sets. Thinex series bearings are for applications where space is at a premium and shaft location is primary compared to load support. Bearings up to 6" OD are available. Applications include aircraft accessories, missile guidance equipment, computers, business machines, robotics and medical devices.

Deep Groove Bearings

Deep groove bearings have race dimensions that are similar to their ball dimensions. These bearings can be used in a wide variety of applications. They have grooved raceways on the inner and outer rings allowing them to sustain moderate radial and axial loads in both directions. They are well suited to high speed applications and can maintain their precision tolerance during high speed operation. Click above to see our selection of deep groove bearings with inch dimensions.

Aircraft Needel & Roller Bearings

Light weight design and safe for extreme environments, aircraft bearings are typically used to support high loads which spin at medium to low RPMs and are commonly oscillating. These bearings can take many forms including single, double row or thin section ball bearings. Known for their precise manufacturing and durability, this type of bearing is good for a wide variety of applications. Choose single row when space is at a premium.

Thin Section Bearings

The angular contact bearing is a conventional design. It features a circular pocket separator and a 30? contact angle along with approximately 67% of a full complement of balls. The chief benefit of this bearing is that it provides greater thrust capacity than a radial contact or four-point contact bearing. Because of its counterbored outer race, an angular contact bearing has unidirectional thrust capacity. This bearing should be mounted opposed to another bearing to establish and maintain the contact angle, and to support reversing thrust loads.
