ASJ Plus jacketing is the newest generation all-service jacket composed of aluminum foil, reinforced with a glass scrim bonded to a kraft paper interleaving with and outer film layer leaving no paper exposed. The expanded closed-cell structure of APArmaflex Pipe Insulation makes it an efficient insulation. It is manufactured without the use of CFC's, HFC's or HCFC's. It is also formaldehyde free, low VOCs, fiber free, dust free and resists mold and mildew. APArmaflex Pipe Insulation is used to retard heat gain and control condensation drip from chilled water and refrigeration systems. The recommended temperature usage range for APArmaflex Pipe Insulation is -297F to +220F (-183C to +105C). The closed-cell structure of APArmaflex prevents moisture from wicking and makes it an efficient insulation. APArmaflex normally requires no supplemental vapor-retarder protection. Additional vapor-retarder protection may be necessary for APArmaflex when installed on very-low-temperature piping or where exposed to continually high humidity conditions. Tubolit W SS (White Self-Seal) Pipe Insulation is an economical, fiber-free, 2550 rated white flexible polyethylene insulation that saves energy, prevents condensation and reduces plumbing noise.
