Amtec 63 is a high speed chromium carbide hardsurfacing alloy with 31% chrome content, and an alloyed core wire that has unmatched abrasive wear resistance on both heavy and light parts. The special metallic coating provides excellent welding performance, which permits obtaining a smooth surface. Despite high hardness, the deposit retains its toughness and wide weaving to 3 times the electrode size may be used without cracking. The deposit is machinable only by grinding. This electrode has tremendous edge control, and may be used on edges as thin a 12 inch without burn off. The high chromium content makesthe weld deposits maintain their resistance to wear even at elevated temperatures.

Amtec 1005 FC is a unique, ultra high purity 56% silver brazing alloy with a super active flux that contains twice the base metal cleansing action of conventional silver flux coated alloys. The flux coating is designed to be flexible and non-fragile and permits less odor than normal silver alloys. Amtec 1005 FC is the only silver solder with a flux that is strong enough to clean oxidized stainless steel. Because this alloy contains no cadmium, it is widely used on food and beverage handling equipment.

Amtec W1610 MC is an extra high carbon, chromium carbide hard overlay that is designed for extreme abrasion and abrasion combined with mild impact. This alloyed hardsurfacing wire can be used on carbon, alloy, manganese, and stainless steels. Amtec W1610 MC may be used without a gas coverage, however with .045 and 116 wire, shielding gas is recommended if out of position welding is desired. Shielding gas will cause the amperage to go up by about 10%

Amtec W1068 AP is a general purpose all position hardsurfacing wire. This product has a good balance of abrasion and impact resistance. It can be used for metal to metal wear as well as metal to earth abrasion wear.

Amtec 2 Cast Iron MIG is a solid bare wire whose properties are of a full nickel metallurgical structure. It is designed for use on ductile, malleable and grey cast irons in all positions where easily machined welds are required. The wire may be used with the MIG process utilizing the spray, pulsed-arc or short-arc methods. Reverse Polarity with Constant Voltage is required for MIG applications. Amtec 2 Cast Iron MIG is a solid bare wire whose properties are of a unique nickel-iron-manganese metallurgical structure. It is designed for use on ductile, malleable and grey cast irons in all positions and at high deposition rates of up to 18 lbs. per hour. The wire may be used with the MIG process utilizing the spray, pulsed arc, or short-arc methods. Reverse Polarity with Constant Voltage is required for MIG applications. ArgonCO2 (7525) should be used for MIG applications. This product produces high strength and ductile welds, while maintaining machinability and color-match.

Amtec 1028 FC is a triple deoxidized bronze brazing alloy with a moisture sealed flux coating. It eliminates the harsh chemical odors and normal glare of conventional type products. The smooth moisture sealed flux has extremely good shelf life, and the flux is designed for exceptional cleansing on dirty steel and cast iron. As a general rule, preheat wide area to be welded to 700'F, and then the specific area to be welded to 1200'F prior to adding filler metal.

Amtec AS 406 is an economical low melting, self fluxing alloy for brazing aluminum and zinc based metals (white metal, zinc die cast, pewter, pot metal). AS 406 produces a sound joint, that is stronger than the parent metal, and is porosity free, clean and free from slag. Used to braze aluminum without flux, and can be used on galvanized steel to replace the galvanizing if it has been worn or burned off.

Amtec 316L Vertical Down Stainless Steel electrode is a specially coated welding electrode with an extreme fast freeze flux coating that allows this electrode to be used in the Vertical Down position. It is ideal for poor fit up joints in all positions. The controlled weld puddle allows for filling holes on stainless steel.
