Background on the issue

LegitScript was founded in 2007 after its president, John Horton, saw what a huge problem rogue online pharmacies were from his work at the Ofﬁce of National Drug Control Policy in Washington, DC. He left government to form a private company that would tackle this issue.

Today, companies and governments worldwide - and certainly Internet users who have been harmed or defrauded by these rogue online pharmacies - have also come to realize the seriousness of the rogue online pharmacy problem.
