Pyrotex SG Blankets are high temperature heat resistant fabrics designed to meet the protection requirements for hoses, cables, equipment and machinery in all extreme heat environments. Pyrotex SG blankets are made from woven fiberglass yarns and then coated with a durable, high grade silicone rubber compound. Pyrotex SG Blankets are water and oil resistant, flame retardant, and easily fabricated. The high temperature silicone rubber provides a flexible coating resistant to molten splash, welding spatter, direct flame, high heat, and wear. Pyrotex SG high temperature fabrics are frequently used for welding curtains, equipment covers and expansion joints, high temperature insulation boots for valves, flanges and fittings.

Showing off a unique 2-tone look, double-colored Pyrotex Firesleeve marks a never-before-seen development in the systems protection industry, providing assemblers with unmatched options for aesthetics, line identification, and brand awareness. Combining two distinct colors into our custom-compounded silicone polymer coating allows the same assemblies to provide more value by promoting recognizable brand colors, replacing integrated color coding systems covered up by ordinary firesleeve, and boldly drawing attention to lines which may present a hazard to processes or operators. The double-colored Pyrotex coating is available on both Industrial Knit and Aerospace-grade Braided Pyrotex Firesleeves, and is available in diameters ranging from 14” up to 6”. Manufactured using the same proven materials and processes as standard Pyrotex Firesleeve, double-colored Pyrotex Firesleeve is able to protect lines in extreme environments and applications.

Aerospace-grade Pyrotex firesleeve is manufactured with a robust and highly flexible braided fiberglass insulating substrate which has been coated with a thick layer of our specialized Silicone polymer to allow for 500°F continuous exposure and intermittent molten splash protection up to 2200°F.
