Pultruded carbon tubes are created by pulling linearly-oriented carbon fibers through a resin bath and then a series of tooling to create the specified inner and outer diameters of the tube. The carbon tube is then heated to cure it. Carbon tubes are especially stiff longitudinally, due to the unidirectional orientation of the fibers. We offer carbon fiber tubing in a variety of stock diameters from .125 to .750.

Wrapped carbon tubes are created by wrapping resin pre-impregnated cloth strips around a mandrel and then curing the tube. The result is a highly specific and customizable tube that is lightweight and strong. These tubes are created in small batches, can be tapered, and have an endless variety of lengths and thicknesses. Our stock wrapped carbon tubes are available tapered or straight and are frequently used in kiting, RC hobbies, and in high-tech scientific equipment. Much like round pultruded carbon tubes, square carbon tubes are pultruded and have longitudinally-oriented fibers. The outer profile of these tubes is square, while the inner hole is round. Square carbon tubes are a great choice if you have an application that requires a square profile but the stiffness and lightness of a carbon fiber tube.

Goodwinds Fiberglass Tubes are called Filament Wound Epoxy Tubes because they are created by winding fiberglass filaments around a mandrel (similar to wrapped carbon tubing). Less flexible than solid fiberglass, Filament Wound Epoxy Tubes (FWET) are lightweight and strong. You might recognize these fiberglass tubes as tent poles, but they have many other uses as well, including structural pieces, antennas, and LARP boffer cores. We offer a range of diameters from .231 to 1.065.
