Glycodur F Sliding Bearings

  • Brand Name Product Category
  • Glycodur® Self-Lubricating Bearings
Glycodur F sliding bearings have a steel base, to which a 0.2 to 0.4 mm porous tin bronze layer is sintered. The pores of this layer are filled during a rolling process with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and other friction reducing additives. A 5 to 30 m top layer made of the same material forms the running-in layer. Glycodur F sliding bearings optimally combine the mechanical properties of sintered bronze with the sliding and lubrication properties of a PTFE mixture. The structure of this composite material results in good dimensional stability and good thermal conductivity.

Self-lubricating Composite Sliding Material

  • allows maintanance-free operation posses high static ( 40, 600 psi) and dynamic (21, 700 psi) load capacity
  • is stick-slip-free with low coefficient of frictio offers a high margin of safety against mating material damage
deva.bm is a thin-walled, self-lubricating composite sliding material. It consists of a backing made of standard steel, stainless steel or bronze with a deva.metal layer applied in a combined rollingsintering process. deva.bm offers basically the same bearing characteristics as deva.metal but is capable of handling even higher loads and offers an economic solution to many bearing problems.Reference applicationsWater turbines, Injection molding machinery, food & beverage, tire molds, rotor lock in wind turbines, marine & offshore, heavy duty, mining, iron & steel works, steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors

Self-lubricating Bearing Materials

  • to produce self-lubricating bearings with guaranteed long-term reliability deva.metal® materials are suitable for applications with high static and dynamic loads
  • due to the micro distribution of the lubricant, all deva.metal® materials are also equally suitable t the same time the form of movement, whether translational, rotational or a combination of both, is insignificant
deva.metal is a family of high performance, self-lubricating bearing materials. The deva.metal system is based on four main groups bronze, iron, nickel and stainless steel each containing dry solid lubricant, most commonly graphite, uniformly dispersed within the metal matrix. Important selection criteria are the sliding speed, specific load, temperature and other application specific influences.Modern designs place huge demands on todays bearing materials, requiring zero maintenance even under severe to extreme operating conditions and maximum loads. Moreover, the permanent cost pressure calls for increasing uptime availability of machines and plants and uncompromising standards of operational reliability.
