Biggs has turning capabilities up to 72 inches between centers and 41 inch chucking capacity for live tooling. With .0001 precision tolerances, the company’s equipment can be adapted to a broad range of industrial applications. Biggs is capable of grinding steel, aluminum, copper, brass and stainless steel I.D’s and O.D’s to meet our customer’s precision tolerances. Grinding (I.D. & O.D.) and surface grinding also improves the tasks of exacting specifications and finishing requirements. Our grinding operators are well trained to unfailingly meet the thickness, flatness and tolerances that are essential for our customer’s parts. Moreover, at Biggs Tool & Die Inc., the company’s management and our employees are equipped to handle the special precision grinding requirements required by applications in aerospace and defense.
As a precision manufacturer, Biggs Tool & Die, Inc., offers Sink and Wire EDM services as part of our general production manufacturing services. Sink EDM provides Biggs with the ability to produce accurate geometries; tight tolerance parts; and components of the highest quality that possess varying levels of complexity. Our Wire EDM machines use CAD designed programs to machine intricate shapes and close tolerance dimensions from any conductive material. Our Wire EDM services allow Biggs Tool & Die to produce precision machined parts with superior accuracy on a competitive basis with a method that is excellent for super-tough and hardened alloys. Wire EDM also produces intricate shapes with consistent repeatability up to 30 degrees of taper and 4-axis capability.

Our accomplished personnel have the experience and expertise in both the manufacture and inspection of most gear types—along with their relative features. Biggs’ competent staff of professionals are capable of shaping and hobbing gears, such as; spur gears, internal shaping gears, planetary ring gears, spline gears, pinions and sprockets in various materials. Biggs Tool & Die, Inc. started as a tool & die business in 1978. We have since flourished into primarily a CNC machine shop. However, our company still retains the capability of stamping and forming in order to meet our customer’s requirements.
