Drug Uses

Imovane is prescribed in case of the following problems:

• Difficulty falling asleep
• Frequent waking at night
• Troubled and restless sleep
• Sleep disturbances in mental disorders in situations where the insomnia aggravates the state of patients.

Despite the sedative and relaxing effect of the drug, it is ineffective at various psycho-emotional disorders, and therefore is used exclusively for the treatment of insomnia.

Way of the use and dosage

•  Imovane is available in tablets for oral use.
• Take your medicine before bedtime with a full glass of water.
• The average therapeutic dose for temporary insomnia is 7.5 mg
• Patients with severe long-term insomnia can double the dose to 15 mg.
• The therapeutic effect is developed within 20-30 minutes, after which the patient falls asleep easily
• Generally, the treatment lasts 5-10 days depending on the type and severity of insomnia.

How to take:

Follow your doctor’s directions, never take less or more than precribed. Do not take this medication for longer than prescribed. Modafinil is usually given for 12 weeks or less. The usual prescribed dosage for these disorders is 200 mg once a day. For conditions other than shift work sleep disorder, modafinil is normally taken in one dose in the morning or in two doses in the morning and at midday. It is not recommended to take modafinil after noon: taking it during the later part of the day may cause insomnia at night.

Directions

Determine a proper dose for you and intake schedule with a health care practitioner trained in the treatment with herbal supplements. Generally the recommended dose is 2 or 3 capsules taken 2 times per day, 30 minutes or an hour after meals. Swallow it with a glass of lukewarm water. To improve digestibility take it on an empty stomach a half an hour before meals.

Missed dose
