The TQ was the first revolving door we manufactured; created in 1903, the TQ was originally constructed mainly from timber and had to be operated manually. Since then construction and the technology has evolved, transforming our revolving doors into sophisticated and intelligent entrances. The TQ is now available in both a manual and automatic operation, and is an incredibly versatile entry solution. Its engineering quality has been proven again and again in many different buildings and projects. The TQ is available in a variety of colors and finishes. In many buildings a powder coated or anodized aluminium version is chosen which can be finished in virtually any color you can think of. A stainless steel or mirror finished look can create a modern or even futuristic look. Special FeaturesIn addition to a collapsible door set for emergency exit, the TQ offers a variety of night locking options, including a new security nightlocking capability that works in conjunction with an access control system to allow authorized users to enter during evening or weekend hours. The NRG+ TQ is the first revolving door in the world that not only saves energy, but also generates it. Developing a revolving door that could use the human energy applied to turn the door into electricity has long been a dream of Boon Edams engineers. As early as the late twentieth century our engineers were studying on how this could be achieved, but as the right technology was not yet available, it wasnt until 2008 that the first NRG+ TQ was installed. Human Powered EnergyThe NRG+ TQ is a revolving door with three or four door wings, available in a variety of diameters and finishes. Instead of a normal manual or automatic drive unit, this revolving door has a special generator that turns the energy applied to turn the door into electricity that can power the low energy ceiling lights. Although the amount of energy that can be generated through the NRG+ TQ is relatively low, as a buildings first impression, it tells visitors that the occupants care about the environment and strive to build a sustainable future. When an entry requires sophistication to channel the flow of visitors in high numbers at peak times, or those accompanied by carts, trollies or hospital beds, the Duotour two wing automatic revolving door is the optimal solution. Unlike a three or four wing revolving door, the Duotour can channel a high capacity of footfall while having a fairly small footprint. The Duotour combines the best of both worlds by incorporating two automatic sliding or swinging doors in its design. At peak times or in order to allow passage to trollies or beds, the function of the Duotour can be switched from the automatic revolving door setting to automatic sliding or swinging doors ensuring maximum capacity and ease of movement. The Duotour is available in a wide variety of colors and finishes and like the Tournex offers the option of including showcases on the door wings. Located on both ends of the door wings, these showcases can be used to bring the visitor into the mood and setting of your building. In buildings where extremely large numbers of visitors pass through with trollies, shopping carts or large luggage every day, the shape of a traditional revolving door can prove to put a limit on the user flow. The movement of the door wings usually forces visitors to walk in a slight circle in order to enter or exit the building. This can hinder the capacity of the entrance and it can sometimes be difficult to maneuver with heavy carts or luggage. The Twintour is a unique revolving door concept that combines the advantages of straight line access with a spacious entry and the energy saving properties of a revolving door. The Twintour consists of two or more two-wing automatic revolving doors that are linked to ensure the movement of the door wings is synchronized. Each of the revolving doors can be placed separately to create a passageway that will lead the visitor to their destination. In this way the Twintour can also be used to direct visitors in the required direction and even separate one incoming flow of users into two different directions.
