Automated Clamp Carrier

The Automated Clamp Carrier woodworking clamps system is the industry standard for high production edge gluing. Sizes range from 20 to 80 sections with widths up to 16-12' (5 M) wide. The Automated machine doubles operator productivity with its automatic cycle which tightens the clamps on new stock, rotates the machine, and loosens the clamps on panels to be removed. This allows the operator to spend 100% of their time preparing and loading stock. It also reduces operator effort and paces the overall production. As with all Taylor Clamp Carriers, smaller machines can be expanded as production requirements grow.

The Automated Opti-Rip rip saw optimization system is very adaptable to many material handling systems. Some of our systems are fed manually from a scissor lift of planed lumber. Some systems have a landing deck and are fed from the outfeed conveyor of a planer and some systems are fed by destackers and singulation machines.

Super Automated Clamp Carrier

The Automated Clamp Carrier wood working clamps system is the industry standard for high production edge gluing. The Automated machine doubles operator productivity with its automatic cycle which tightens the clamps on new wood stock, rotates the machine, and loosens the clamps on wood panels to be removed. This allows the operator to spend 100% of their time preparing and loading stock.Taylor's Super Automated Clamp Carrier design increases the productivity of the machine by 20% without any change in operation or additional floor space. The industrial wood clamps machine has a separate loosening station above the operator which loosens the wood clamps one row before the panels are removed from the machine. This shortens the cycle time of the machine by 15 seconds which equates to one extra hour of production per shift. The technology used to do this is from our Dual Automated wood clamp machine where we have dozens of machines in operation in factories across the U.S.

Conveyorized Applicator

The Taylor Conveyorized Glue Applicator with Return Conveyor is an automated glue application and stock handling system. The system applies adhesive to the wood stock before clamping, and returns glued panels to be stacked. Applicators come equipped with a large infeed roller, which allows operators to roll stock onto the infeed end. The Glue Applicator conveyer is started and stopped automatically via an electric eye either at its infeed end or at its outfeed end. The glue roll located in the center of the machine applies glue. A live Stainless Steel Doctor Roll insures a complete and even adhesive coating. The Doctor Roll is adjusted by thumbscrews, which regulate glue coat thickness. This reduces waste, clean up time and glue costs. A safety slip clutch protects the conveyor chain against damage when careless operation results in wood jamming the conveyor. This feature reduces down time and is self-healing so machine returns to normal function once the jammed stock is removed.

Flooring Nester

We have taken proven technology from our Opti-Sizer (1986), and our Opti-Match (2005) to develop a machine unlike any other. Random flooring strips are fed in one end and nested bundles are produced at the other end. In addition to producing bundles of varying length and width, the Cameron software (devoloped, written and supported in-house) tracks incoming and outgoing data. The net result is that you see savings in both labor and material.

The Classic Clamp Carrier is our most versatile line of clamp carriers. Sizes range from 6 to 80 sections with widths up to 20-12' (6M) wide. Most machines are equipped with Hydraulic or Pneumatic Air Motor Drive for rotation, Clamp Tightener and Panel Flattener. The smaller machines work well with the Plate Spreader (manual glue applicator). As with all Taylor Clamp Carriers, smaller machines can be expanded as production requirements grow. The Classic Clamp Carrier is an ideal clamping system when a wide variety of products are to be glued.
