Phase Sequence Relays

Protect aircraft equipment & other devices from damage due to phase loss or reversal with DAREs phase sensors & monitors. Designed to monitor the phase sequence of three phase power, DAREs phase sensors will protect electrical equipment that is sensitive to incorrect phase sequence (rotation), phase loss, or phase reversal.

When the phase rotation is correct, the output of DAREs phase sensor will energize. When the phase sensor detects an out-of-phase condition, the output will de-energize. The contacts of the phase sensor can be used to disconnect a load, operate an alarm circuit, or both.

In addition, phase sensors can be used in conjunction with a power contactor that will perform the actual switching of the load and can be designed to monitor for over and or under voltage and over and or under frequency conditions.

DAREs phase sensors and monitors are highly customizable and available in a wide variety of standard and custom enclosures.

Typical electrical specifications include:
90 to 150 VAC line to neutral
156 to 260 VAC line to line
40 to 480 Hz
Voltage transients per MIL-STD-704

Relay outputs from SPST to 4PDT are available with ratings from dry circuit to 25 amps resistive.

Mounting configurations, finishes, and connectors can be custom tailored to meet your requirements and indicating lamps are available if desired.

Time Delay Relays

  • Product Line Timer
  • Output Relay Output
  • Delay Feature Delay on Operate or Pull-In
  • Fixed/Adjustable External Resistor Adjustable
  • Power AC Powered
DARE Electronics combines advanced state-of-art timing circuits with solid-state or electromechanical outputs to manufacture a complete line of high-reliability time delay relays. This line includes many various precision timing relays commonly referred to as:

one-shot timers
repeat cycle timers
recycle time delay relays
solid-state timers
interval timers
watchdog timers
motor driven timers
These time delay relays, available in variety of standard & custom options as illustrated in the above photo and on our time delay relay product datasheet, provide the option of a fixed time-delay or an adjustable time-delay with the time delay on operate (pull-in) andor the time delay on release (drop-out) and normally-open or normally-closed contacts.

Models are available with:
Time delays ranging from milliseconds to hours
Operating voltages of:
18 32 Vdc (28 Vdc nominal) or
105 to 125 Vac (115 Vrms nominal) 50Hz, 60 Hz, or 400 Hz
Relay contact configurations in:
SPDT, DPDT, 3PDT, 4PDT, or 6PDT, and
Relay contact ratings of:
2 amp, 5 amp, 10 amp, or 25 amps
If you are not sure whether you need a delay on operate (pull-in), a delay on release (drop-out), an interval timer, repeat cycle timer, fixed or adjustable time delay relay, consult our time delay relay operation sheet for more information about each of the various types of time delay relays.

For typical specifications and standard enclosures & wiring connections, see our time delay relay product datasheet or contact a sales engineer for assistance with your time delay relay requirements. DAREs sales engineers would be happy to work with you to design a one-shot timer, repeat recycle timer, solid-state, interval or watchdog timer specifically for your application or help you determine which one of the various time delay relay models is right for your application.

For example, many customers use a time delay relay with a delay on pull-in (operate) to protect sensitive, critical equipment during system power-up by providing a brief time delay during start-up until the system is fully energized. In addition, a time delay relay may be used for event sequencing or instrumentation control or in an alarm circuit or watchdog circuit. Sometimes two time-delay relays are used in conjunction with each other to provide a pulsing or flashing of a lamp. These two time delay relays can be combined internally into one time delay relay, commonly known as a flasher or repeat cycle timer.

Further, while time delay relays have many applications in a variety of industries, DAREs time delay relays are primarily designed to meet the severe environmental requirements of the military and aerospace industry. As such, most DARE time delay relays, repeatre-cycle timers, interval timers, solid-state time delay relays, and watchdog timers are considered mil-spec relays, since they were designed to meet or exceed the requirements of various military specifications, such as MIL-R-83726 (now MIL-PRF-83726), MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-810. If your time delay relay needs do not require such stringent military or aerospace specifications and standards, please be sure to let us know, so we can offer the most appropriate time delay relay.
